Disable animation in 3d build view?

#1

Is it possible to turn off animations in the 3d view? Not wanting to have to have my comp bogged down as I'm trying to adjust slopes and what not.

Thanks

Why would your PC get bogged down by adjusting slopes?

Are you mapping with the HRP enabled or something, if this is the case then that is bad practice because the HRP will fool you into thinking that your map may look great with the HRP but for the people that dislike the HRP (a lot of veteran players) your map can look very dull with out it.

You should always map without the HRP first and make sure it looks right without it, then go back and make any changes needed for models etc. afterwards.

ok ok i like that lmao rates

really though if it is lagging in 3d mode then it might be lagging in gameplay wise aswell.

Yup I had polymer enabled. But that would mean i'd have to make 8bit versions of all my textures I have custom made just so it can be HRP/8Bit compatible. This is supposed to be a across the board HRP expansion pack only. (I bought this game when it first came out, still have the scratched up Duke and platonium pak disks. I'm a veteran as well. But like the new Highdef capability)

I wasn't sure if this was for a mod or not.

But for a vanilla map you would follow this practice.

Yes thats understandable. But for what i'm doing there is no point because all i'd see would be black walls and floors lol.

I have my game at polymost. And apparently the build was set at polymer. This shitty video card doesn't have a good shader if any and the memory clock speed is a f'n joke.
