It was said that the GoG.com version of SiN Gold was done by a reformed Ritual so they may yet be returning, I sure as hell hope they do because I want the rest of my SiN Episodes!

While I'd love to actually get an episode 2, for them to release episode 2 after EIGHT YEARS when the first one is pretty much forgotten would be commercial suicide. I don't think even Valve could get away with HL Episode 3 by now.

xMobilemux already addressed the "hard data" so to dpeak. When Sin came to GOG it listed Ritual Entertainment as the publisher instead of MumboJumbo. GOG confirmed that it wa a new/reformed Ritual. A representative of the company made a few remarks on Reddit including wanting to do a new entry in the franchise. That is what we know so far.
