Anyone else have artifacts on the cursor in Windows?

It's been four years and every Nvidia card I've ever used still does it.

B-B-BUT MUH SUPERIOR DRIVERS! Is there any way to fix this shit? I'd use Google but I feel like complaining on a forum.

I love how you spend $400 on a video card and it STILL has this issue.

Never happened to me on any nvidia cards I've owned. Old and new.

I have ATI and I also have it. I googled it back when I first built my current rig because I thought it was an overheating issue (my card has a bug, the auto fan control option doesn't work, so I must use MSI Afterburner and set a profile for it), and it seemed pretty common across ATI users, but never heard of Nvidia having this issue.

Only had the issue caused by my card once, turned out to be bad VRAM. I RMA'd it, never had problems since. I'm using an NVidia GeForce GTX 560.

There are other causes as well... Bad system RAM, bad drivers, corrupted cursor files (had this happen before with funny results.), etc. If you gone through several cards, it's unlikely that it's a GPU issue. (Unless you constantly deal with a shitty reseller or manufacturer who are selling bad cards that didn't pass QC or some shit.)

Try going to control panel -> system -> advanced system settings -> advanced -> performance settings -> adjust for best performance -> apply. Tell me if the problem still occurs.

No problems here. Can you send screenshots of the artifacts on the cursor?

No dice, it's only there for a tenth of a second sometimes as the cursor changes (e.g., regular, to hand, to spinning circle). You'll get green lines surrounding it.

I didn't violate his patent. I used Poland Spring bottles instead of Mountain Dew™. It's less aesthetically pleasing but my patent attorney said it was kosher.
