Probably just showing a chain-up of generic weapons together to show the point.

Seems reasonable. And oh, the pig cop would be overpowered if it ever used that chain-up, what do you think?

Well, seeing as how most enemies only has about 1 or 2 forms of attacking, I say they don't really have the technology or a solid plan to implement that idea. At most they could only have it use the Chaingun/Rocket (the best combination, if not overpowered), Shotgun/Chaingun (redundant and pointless) or Rocket/Shotgun (a bit ineffective).

It's concept art. And a really bad idea for an enemy. It's only cool for what it is.

Might be an interesting miniboss, perhaps in place of the Battlelord.

Has any info ever surfaced if there is any cut levels from the version of Duke 3D that we know today, like levels with the same complex level design that we see in e1l1 etc, but have never made it into final release?

I'm going to be that guy and ask when we will start to be able to play around with some of this stuff :)?

Sewage Company, The Sewers Below, Chuckles and Gigam.

Did we ever find out why they were cut? I remember I liked the design of at least one of those levels.

sewer.map was essentially finished and a decent amount of fun. sweeny.map needed more work, it's way too small as-is and it's very easy to sequence break.

Cigam, on the other hand, was very far from completion it seems. Also I could never help but wonder if it was built for different textures and hastily changed or else left with ones that don't match. Of course it could simply be that they just weren't ever very good choices.

Sweeney and Sewer were good levels, but I always felt they didn't fit with the rest of the game for some reason, can't quite place my finger on what it is, there's just something off about them.

I can't really see where they would fit into the flow, either. The maps seen in Duke3D tend to flow from one to the next in a semi believable fashion. Some of the E2 maps could be reordered because they use somewhat generic exits, but others were very specific.

From v0.99:
definelevelname 2 1 E3L2.map 00:00 S.P.E.R.M. BANK
definelevelname 2 2 E3L3.map 00:00 SEWAGE COMPANY
definelevelname 2 3 E3L4.map 00:00 THE SEWERS BELOW
definelevelname 2 4 E3L5.map 00:00 RTD SUBWAY

Beetween Bank Roll and Rabid Transit.

And y'all know who pointed that out.

I suppose the endings could and probably would have been edited depending on the level order, but I still feel that they wouldn't fit for some reason... The devs probably felt the same way I guess.

I have actually forgotten that these maps were released! Played through all of the maps and agree with what has been said but I think if Cigam had more work put into it then it could qualify as a good DM map. I think the idea of it is pretty neat.

They are still better than Tier Drops or Stadium.

It's funny how the player had no difficulties taking down the enforcers with just a pistol in TerminX's video, and isn't the enforcer supposed be using a flamethrower? Never heard of it using the plasma rifle.

S.P.E.R.M Bank wtf. I'd like to see screenshots of that level :)

For the record that map is simply Bank Roll.

I can imagine Tier Drops being a lot of fun with 4-8 players in Deathmatch, unfortunately it's kinda hard to do that nowadays.

The Plasma Rifle shot sprite is probably placeholder for flamethrower.

Well that texture is fucking creepy

Why is it so red? Why are there those skull things in the wall? It's almost as creepy as the monolith room on Dark Side.

There were no rar files, only zip files encrypted with the trivially weak ZipCrypto method original to the PKZIP program. I have 150 out of 152 opened.

Are you planning on releasing when you are done with it, or sill are there legal questions?

That question has been answered; They will be rolled out over a period of time on the new 3D Realms website.

I usually just prefer to lurk but god damn, what enemy could even have that skull? It looks almost like the Battlelord, but still...
