At one time DNF was not just trying to be more modern... it was defining modern. But doesn't matter... only a tiny minority ever saw it or gets to see it now... and even fewer who do see it now can really put themselves in the industry at the time the content they get to look at was being made and see what it really represented. Literally doesn't matter though.
DooM matters and I'm happy.

The code is PE46V3CC (Mars Prison Coop)

#1957 Posted 03 June 2016 - 08:03 AM
I made a slow-paced coop mission inspired by 40k Space Hulk in terms of mechanics, but it's broken in coop for some reason (my old one won't even fucking load with more than 1 player, host drops out) so i stripped one of the complex backup objectives out

Here's an older vid in SP if you want to see some of it

I want to buy it but I barely have the minimum specs requirements, but some people on the game's Steam forum claim they can run the game at 60FPS at medium settings with the minimum requirements... Then again there also seem to be many people claiming they can't run the game at all with specs higher than recommended, and that 2GB video cards don't seem to work well with it...
I have i5 4570 (quad core 3,2ghz), 8GB DDR3 and a GTX660 (2gb). Getting a new 200-300€ video card is a big no for me at the moment.
Also, why do all the snapmaps I see here seem to mostly consist of a succession of square rooms that are all the same size? I see bigger rooms as well, of other shapes too. Is it really that limited?
Also the snapmaps I see seem very linear as well. Can you not make an interconnected map like in the original Doom?

I don't suppose anybody knows a way to fix this???
Like I'm legit scared to run the game for fear I'll have to restart for the 10th fucking time today.

Than use Ctrl, Alt, Esc to get it to open whilst in-game.

YRCT5GBF is the code, I usually just search for the title.

This map also features some humor and/or pop culture references in the messages. And much super shotgun action. It was originally going to be a survival map, but I ended up feeling like making pretty much a straightforward combat map with checkpoints and lives. So it's not survival mode, but maybe it's "Survivor" mode. Eye of the tiger, man!

Lost souls are weak for sure, but even skilled DooM Classic player, it still possible they can made your life miserable if you're not carefully when deal with them, especially you're using Rocket Launcher. Just like what happens in the video of Loke's post

Have to make extra sure they are all dead before you start with the rockets and using them against Pain Elementals is a really bad idea. I tend to be really cautious with the rocket launcher anyway.

Well, that's sure, but mostly such shit happens on User Wads...as some of Wad authors like put lost souls and other powerful monsters, and when the situation getting hot, mistakes always happens.

I rarely blow myself up by rocket launcher on Pain Elementals, I tend keeps long distance...avoid too close with them so I don't think it's bad idea

id takes back control of Doom's broken multiplayer on PC

SnapMap will also be getting new features to develop it as a multiplayer environment.
Hopefully that means we'll be able to play with more than 4 players in a SnapMap.

They shouldn't have given it to Certain Affinity in the first place, they are known for making CoD-style multiplayer and thats exactly what they made, when all Doom needed was the most basic modes like Deathmatch or CTF.
I hope they also just drop the multiplayer DLC, release it for free to appease season pass buyers, and release singleplayer stuff. Won't happen, but still

It'll be SP if i can figure out how to make a squad of AI dudes you can order around on the automap, but if not it'll just be a 4p coop type thing
