Never played the reboot. Do I need to play the first part in order to understand the 2nd?

Actually, I haven't played it yet either. And I have yet to beat the first one. So I don't know. But I'm gonna say doubtful. Since it's all based around procedural level design and co-op.

Could be wrong.

While there is more story in the rebooted series than the original, it's hardly the core focus of the game. So basically, you can play this without playing the first. Having said that, if you ever do want to play the first at some point, I'd hold off playing the 2nd until you do so, as the gameplay of the first will seem somewhat limited in comparison.

Both Shadow Warrior (reboot) and Shadow Warrior 2 (sequel to the reboot) were on giveaway, specially the first game was on giveaway multiple times.. so if you have it, there's no reason to not play it.

The game is like a first person hack and slash game, where guns feel like were an afterthought, though you can't hack and slash bosses and you have to use the guns for them instead.

Metro 2033 is free for 24 hours
https://store.steamp...110/Metro_2033/

Also, Alan Wake is back on Steam and GOG
https://store.steamp...8710/Alan_Wake/
with a huge discount

I actually never played the Remedy's game. Do you recommend it? Is it like Max Payne or is it something else?

It's like if Max Payne was a survival horror game. Totally worth buying at this price.. one of the best games I've played.

Honestly I didn't enjoy Metro as much as I did with the Stalker games

Destiny 2's free on Battle.net until November 18. It's just the base game, but it's a gorgeous looking shooter and who can say no to that price?

I played through and enjoyed it immensely until I found out about the level 20 level cap and how extremely short the main story was along with the sidequests. At that point all I did was grind for more gear until I got all purples and my power was stuck at 260 unable to go higher due to the cap. I probably won't bother with the classes I didn't play at this point. I played through it over the course of two days most of the first day and only to lunchtime on the second day and I was all done with it already. It felt shorter than most singleplayer FPS games from these days.

In case you don't know, Lucasfilm/Disney added a couple of old LucasArts games to Steam, including SW Episode I Racer, Outlaws and even Indiana Jones' games! It's on sale until 23rd.

They've all been on GOG already, just FYI. Sale is good, though.

It seems like redeeming it is not enough? When I went to check my library Outcase Second Contact has this under the "Additional Content" section:

Quote

The redemption deadline is November 29th, 2018 at 10:00 AM Pacific. You have 6 days left!

Immediately after 10AM Pacific on November 29th, the download will magically vanish as if it were just a figment of your imagination, leaving this cryptic message behind in its wake.

What does this mean? I downloaded it anyway just to be sure.

The download links & steam keys expire on humble bundle -
I've also gotten messages that they were 'out of stock' on a download & they would email me when the game was 'back in stock'.
Don't know how a digital file that can be copied infinity times can be out of stock. Also never got an email & never got the game.

additionally:
Humble Bundle was bought by IGN. IGN sends money to the ACLU as one of the charities.
The ACLU is a racist hate-group.
If you buy something from Humble Bundle, be sure to go to the bottom of the page and change the charity & money sliders.

Subnautica is free today on Epic Games' new digital store called "Epic Games Store". They're supposed to be releasing a different free game every two weeks. Next one is Super Meat Boy.

I was originally under the impression that Subnautica used the Arc Games launcher.

Nope. Well, maybe. I don't know. But the Steam version doesn't use it for sure so it's not tied to it.

Hopefully that shows up on GOG Connect at some point (I doubt it).

EDIT: It should also be noted that it mentions that the classic versions will also be added as a free bonus at a later date.

Can you get this without entering your billing information? Typical Ubisoft.
