I know. At first I was a bit confused that there wasn't new free bundle on Steam.

Also, the games repeat so if you miss a deal you might get another chance.

Edit: Almost got Turok, but bloody hell it's $26 at a 35% discount. That's way too expensive for an old game like that. Looking at the store page, others agree, since all the non-5 star reviews put 'too pricey' in the title or something like that.

It's very clever, really. It's no different than any other sale except that you only get one at a time and the countdown moving quickly across your screen makes you panic and can force you into some massive impulse buying.

Still not really a fan that it relies on impulse buys though. I'd like to get a chance to read up on a game and properly think about whether it's worth getting or not. Although I can see the benefit from GOG's side; that they're guarenteed to make $XXX since all the games have to be sold for it to progress.

Edit: There's a demo of one of the levels from the campaign if you want to try that out first. Don't know how easy it is to locate these days though.

I'm currently using the LOD mod to get rid of the abrupt mipmapping transitions, though it seems there are issues with level 6.

Not that I expect anybody here to be interested in the game itself, apart from the fact that G**rbox has to put a game on sale a month after release. [satisfied smile]
