Yep, Sleeping Dogs is only 4.99, this to me is by far the greatest open world GTA like game ever made.
It's very difficult to enjoy the on foot sections of GTA and the like after playing a game like SD that got it so right with the combat and free running ability.
The Driving is done by the Need for Speed guys so it's great also.
Awesome story too, can't praise this game enough.

Go for it, but download the FS1 "FreeSpace Port" for the open source version of FreeSpace 2. Play through that first. Then Silent Threat: Reborn. Then FS2. Also be sure to install the MediaVP files for the updated graphics, it's one of the most beautiful games out there.

Get ready for one of the best rides of your life. FreeSpace is an awesome series. FS2 is #4 on my greatest games of all time list, only beaten by Descent, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Mass Effect 3.

Same goes for anyone else here...if you're looking for something technical, complex, action packed, deep, thought provoking, and all around bad ass, buy FreeSpace 2. It's like mainlining adrenaline, especially when you get good enough to play on medium or hard. I beat it on insane using a keyboard...most Asian thing I've ever done.

Not exactly a sale, but The Expendabros was just released (yesterday). It's a free version of Broforce released to promote the third Expendables movie.

Dishonored and Borderlands 2 are both free to play this weekend on Steam until Sunday 1pm Pacific Time, with the offer to purchase either of them for 75% off until Monday 10am Pacific Time. Titanfall is also free to play as part of the Game Time program on Origin for 48 hours from the first time you start the game, along with a couple of other EA titles. Check them out. :(

In my opinion, not really. But it is a DRM free copy for only 2 bucks though.
If you liked the first game you are going to either be disappointed or confused at the direction the series went from there.

I tried the first one once but lost interest because I was pretty confused about what I had to do or where I had to go.

The second one holds your hand a little more and feels pretty different than the first game. I loved it on the PS2 but the PC port not so much.

GOG's having a 6th year anniversary sale. I take it to be that there's going to be a new set of games on sale every day up to 80% for 6 days; each day featuring games added to GOG's catalog from the corresponding year.

Humble Indie Bundle 12 is out, and it includes Gunpoint, which looks like it's DRM free so you can probably get it for $0.01 if you don't mind not getting steam keys.

I really wish I could get into SiN. I only ever beat Sin Episodes Emergence just this year, and I owned it since the day it was released on Steam (and along with it was the original SiN) I usually beat the bank level and then drop off after that; I really want to give it a full playthrough because I enjoy the late 90's style of FPS games. I've also never beat Kingpin, I got to the very last stage and stopped.

Also, on the topic of sales, the best game ever made finally makes its steam premiere

Sin becomes a lot better after that awful construction zone.

Never heard of The Stalin Subway but I have some morbo for B shooters. Added to my wishlist!

Stalin Subway is pretty boring to be honest. Even as a lover of bad games myself (I like Damnation ffs) I never even played it beyond 5 seconds.

Hopefully You Are Empty gets added soon.. It's really mediocre, like all the lighting is pre baked into the textures so enemies don't actually have lighting, some of the enemy models are what a 3 year old would think is creepy, and the 'cut scenes' are so bad that... well the game as a whole has unintentional charm to it.
