They should have said that the catch in case of MW is ton of overpriced DLCs. I was a bit surprised for a moment.

I know. At first I was a bit confused that there wasn't new free bundle on Steam.

Some nice games from Radiangames have been put on sale on Google Play and iOS. I can recommend Slydris and Inferno http://www.radiangam...roid-sale-ever/

Edit: The remnants of the 3D Realms Anthology is being sold in a bundle here for cheap https://www.indiegala.com/attraction

It's Star Wars season again at Humble Bundle. This time focusing on X-Wing/Tie Fighter series. It's also got the KOTORs again, though. The big unlockers are Empire at War Gold and LEGO Star Wars Complete Saga and a pretty cool KOTOR2 t-shirt for the top tier. More games to come. Unfortunately, they only include Steam keys. The GoG versions of X-Wing and Tie Fighter include the CD Collector's Series versions of the game, bringing it to 3 versions each, the Steam versions only have 2 versions each, excluding the CD Collector's Series versions. Unless they've updated it on Steam lately, which I doubt. Still, great collection.

"Round-the-Clock Stream of Sales" going on at GoG right now for as long as the games last. There are limited quantities of deals for each game and when they run out the next game deal starts. I grabbed Outlaws and X-Wing Special Edition for dirt cheap. Take a look.

Also, the games repeat so if you miss a deal you might get another chance.

It's not very practical as far as sales go. You need to be paying attention virtually non-stop. Each sale only lasts around a minute.

Edit: Almost got Turok, but bloody hell it's $26 at a 35% discount. That's way too expensive for an old game like that. Looking at the store page, others agree, since all the non-5 star reviews put 'too pricey' in the title or something like that.

They've actually slowed down quite a bit now. Not that it matters as the games seem to repeat over and over again. More than enough to grab some if you didn't have time to look. It is annoying have to wait for someone to grab the last couple deals before the next one starts, though. There are some games I haven't seen repeat anymore either. They must have cleaned out of some. And they also added new games.

It's very clever, really. It's no different than any other sale except that you only get one at a time and the countdown moving quickly across your screen makes you panic and can force you into some massive impulse buying.

Yeah that's true. I don't like their bonus incentive though. Buy 10 games get an 11th free. Firstly, 10 is quite a lot, 5 would have been much more practical. And secondly, it seems you don't even have control over what the free game is? Since you'll likely end up with a game you didn't want, 10 is a very, very poor motivator.

Still not really a fan that it relies on impulse buys though. I'd like to get a chance to read up on a game and properly think about whether it's worth getting or not. Although I can see the benefit from GOG's side; that they're guarenteed to make $XXX since all the games have to be sold for it to progress.

I just bought the two that I wanted. I got Outlaws because it comes with bonus levels (Handful of Missions), I got X-Wing SE because I thought it was X-Wing Alliance. I already have both on Steam, but wanted DRM free. It's a good thing it was X-Wing SE, though, as it comes with the missing Collector's CD edition that Steam doesn't have. The Star Wars games haven't repeated since that first day, though, so I can't get Alliance either. Just as well. There's nothing extra about it except the DRM freedom.

Is Dark Forces 2 worth getting?

Yeah, it was pretty well received upon release, and after a recent replay I still had a lot of fun. For $2 it's a hard offer to pass up.

Edit: There's a demo of one of the levels from the campaign if you want to try that out first. Don't know how easy it is to locate these days though.

The GOG version includes music and is apparently altered to support newer graphics card drivers, but if you run into incompatibility issues there's a number of fixes at the PC Gaming Wiki.
I'm currently using the LOD mod to get rid of the abrupt mipmapping transitions, though it seems there are issues with level 6.

Shadow Warrior (2013) is $3,49 for example and the complete Serious Sam pack $9,99.

I picked up The Talos Principle in that sale and all its DLC for $20, which is less than half the price of the full game without DLC. Been wanting this game for a while. Loved the demo. I consider it better than Portal. Fantastic game.

I was hugely impressed with The Talos Principle. A brilliant game imo. Still have to play the Road to Gehenna DLC when I get a chance.

Been playing through Gehenna. It is so far brilliant. A nice twist. A wonderfully and cerebrally funny way to look at "Gehenna" lol.

Battleborn from G**rbox-Software is on sale. It is 40% off on Steam now.

Not that I expect anybody here to be interested in the game itself, apart from the fact that G**rbox has to put a game on sale a month after release. [satisfied smile]
