Uh... this is not from id/Bethesda/Zenimax etc. This is the efforts of the crowdfunding campaign and Blzut3 putting it together.
The other stuff is supposed to be coming in a few months...

And I know I shouldn't, but given some post count... well nvm, that's not the important point.
It's great if even one individual learns something new from the code!
ANOTHER EDIT (Sep 17): Also, I don't know if I'll get to do anything. Looks like there have already been a few forks of the repository (or at least specific branches of it). But I have taken a few looks at a few files at the least.

Does id have a famous time quote? We can't use #SOON for them too. And I'm just going off the old tweets we have and assuming it will still be released this year.

iD might've coined WID, but it's 3DR that made it into the joke that it is today, no matter who originally said it in regards to game development.

The irony was not lost on me. Kudos!
Posting one thing or expressing interest hardly constitutes an entire life (thank my hat!). And simply asking someone the progress on a project is pretty damn far from harassment (doing it repeatedly on the other hand...).
Speaking of... Don't you have development work to do?

Sponge maintains an active presence in the Keen community. If there's any news that supposed to go public, public it will go. Messaging him, when he's done his job diligently and is just waiting on official approval, is annoying if nothing else.

You clearly haven't done your due diligence of research before bugging someone important and wasting their time. He is the only technical guy and the only id Software employee putting the release together, and that part is actually done.

That's pretty assumptive on your part. I've read the other posts (obviously, since I posted them). And you and I clearly differ in our opinions on asking someone politely what the progress on a project is. You don't know, he may even take it as complimentary that someone is bothering to ask about the work he put it. Minimally, it shows it wasn't for nothing, above and beyond the interest on the Keen forum. Anyways, this is pointless. It was a mere consideration of an option, not a hostile means of aggravating the person in question ("Sponge" in this case).
