Samsung Galaxy S4 "next version to be super fast"
#1 Posted 17 June 2013 - 08:33 AM
I am dishing my beloved Blackberry for Galaxy S4, and guess what, shoud I wait for this?
from Reuters
http://www.reuters.c...E95G05I20130617
"The new S4 will use LTE-Advanced 4G technology, an upgrade from conventional 4G called LTE, or long term evolution. LTE-Advanced offers data transmission at up to twice the normal 4G speed. The phones will be powered by Qualcomm chips."
not sure when it will come out, but right now the current Galaxy S4 is fast enough for me.

S4 is really underwhelming for a S3 former user such as myself.
With the HTC ONE I can at least experience something new even if for changing the brand alone.
I am also very excited about the xperia z but the screen leaves a lot to wish for and the fact that I already have a HTC one is a reason not to afford to buy that one too.
I would buy at least 10 phones right now, just to fuck around with them all until I get bored.
Right now I've settled to the HTC ONE after I used the S4 for some weeks.

I don't change it every year. I usually change it ever 3 years or so.
This year however, I got a good price on my s3 so I sold it and I was able to get an S4 which I replaced with a HTC ONE at the store after I didn't really like the improvements over the s3.
I am so proud of the metallic case of the HTC ONE, it really does feel like a serious tool in my hand instead of a plastic toy.

but they say it works faster.
Other then that, I never heard of HTC until you posted

@ TerminX - so we can use it at the beach while everyone thinks I am working

It's there so retards look at the spec sheet at their T-Mobile store and say "OMG WOW EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKS BALLS."
Also, LOL build quality. Compare my LG Optimus G to my buddies Galaxy Note II. Premium, beautiful, sturdy, expensive, vs. cheap shit plastic and a screen with a blue tint. Also the Note II has the worst call quality ever, it sounds like an AM radio in a fishtank.

This makes as much sense as ketchup on a Cherry Cheese Cake,
What are you saying, because some will get the new S4 for it's system only, others will never be able to harness it? and what on earth is 8 Core CPU?
I like the slightly bigger screen to see my drawings and docs, and it cost the same as a new BackBerry, for now I am still open for alternates, but S4 on the list.

I just got rid of the S4 as I said above and got a HTC ONE instead, so I can't be accused of being a fanboy of the s4.
However, when I see you claiming that nobody will ever use the 8 core cpu, I wonder how did you come up to this definitive conclusion?

Not sure what he was smoking, but I did some research, this Dual Quad Core version of S4 works only with one carrier in Korea, and this is where those will be sold.
My carrier sells the lesser quad core version that match the LTE abilities for Canada and the US.
Thus, if your own carrier has not the technology, don't get a S4.

my Blackberry lasts like six month, and I only need a solid phone; and I am smart enough to read numbers and press them in a specific order.
I like the S4 but will last 6 month tops, roaming around on construction sites is not for smart phones.

I was originally going to get the latest Samsung, as I like the general look and feel of my Wife's phone (she has an S2). Recently though I tried to back it up and spent about half a day trying to get it to be recognised by 3 different PC with Samsung's crappy 'Kies' software and catalyst-quality drivers. At that point I decided I wasn't going to get a Samsung! In the end I had to photobucket the stuff off the damn thing. That and the call quality is pure scuba phone and the battery dosen't last one day.
Get an iPhone and be trendy? LOL, no. I once tried to get a movie onto my Daughter's iPad. That, and if you drop the 4S onto someones head from a first storey window, you will probably kill them.
So have any of you got an LG or HTC? Are they any good?
I was actually thinking of possibly getting a Nokia. I had a play with a Nokia when I got my Gigabyte and I liked the look and feel of the thing.
