I remember seeing them for the first time at NIN show in 2014. I thought to myself: "what is this, shitty new order for the cool kids?" After a while I got hooked real hard, been at two shows, both were absolute blast.
As of recent this band has entered full New Order Worship mode. The new song is basically "Temptation".
It's good though.

I recently got into Pantera in a big way. Always knew of them, but never really was a fan. I always heard how great Dimebag was and also how overrated he was, but regardless of any of that, they wrote great songs. I also relate a lot to Phil's lyrics.

My favorite nu metal group was Korn. Heaviest song I heard at the time, at 8-9 years old:



Cringe story, but me and my friend would put it on and run to the other room and hide under the covers when the guitars came in. We were already playing Duke, Blood and Carmageddon at the time.

It's funny now in hindsight all those entertainment products were kinda fucked up, but to us it was just fun. Like that Korn song I didn't realize was about domestic abuse or anything serious because I didn't even speak English back then, lol. Just liked how it sounded.

Haha yes, good times! That's their best album in my opinion, lots of tasty riffage and guitar leads. Their most recent stuff is a bit weaker unfortunately.

I'm rediscovering Mudvayne since they announced their reunion.
LD 50 is still a fantastic album. It digs a lot deeper than most nu-metal bands from that era, with complicated time signatures, unusual song structures and one hell of a bass player.

Guilty pleasure post because personally I'm not into the fucking Dragonforce-styled shredding in the second half and this or that aspect in general, but when I first saw that band live about a decade ago with zero expectations and they opened up with this song that starts off slow then basically turns into Offspring on steroids, no one saw it coming and the whole room went ape shit, that was pretty cool. Frontman/singer has seemingly infinite energy on stage.



Also cool seeing the Unsane love on the former page, my friend used to live just next door to their space for a short while (close to the original Alleged gallery in NYC) and would bump into them all the time.
