Ayreon - The Source is now available for preorder with a variety of preorder packages, all signed. Some come with different colour vinyls, t-shirt, hoodie, CD album + instrumental album + DVD behind the scenes and extras, an "earbook" with photos and stuff.....I'll be preordering if I can help it. So excited for this album.

The first track The Day That The World Breaks Down was released for free on Spotify and YouTube and features all 11 singers (there are actually 12 counting Zaher Zorgati but he only has a very small role on the album).

The final list of singers and guest musicians are:

-Tommy Rogers
-Simone Simons
-Michael Mills
-Floor Jansen
-Hansi Kürsch
-Tobias Sammet
-Michael Eriksen
-Nils K Rue
-Zaher Zorgati
-Tommy Karevik
-Russel Allen
-Paul Gilbert (lead guitar)
-Guthrie Govan (lead guitar)
-Mark Kelly (lead keyboard)
-Marcel Coenen (lead guitar)

I wonder if we ever get a game with proper dark, hard techno soundtrack. I'd love to see this sound repurposed for some violent, fast action game, preferably "intelligently" progressing according to player's input and action on-screen.

Just finished Witcher 3. Incredible game which, thanks to its Polish roots, doesn't feel like other Western RPGs. So much character and bespoke content.

This arrived in the mail today. I've never gone through the Dream Theater discography (except for Falling Into Infinity which came into my possession a couple years back which I loved). I consider it a personal failure on my part. This has rectified it...at least until I can get the rest as well. Finished Images and Words and listening to Awake now.

Iris DeMent - Our Town

Just watched the last episode of Northern Exposure; sad to see such a special series fizzle out the way it did, but at least the final montage brought back some atmosphere.

Underrated movie. Good thing it gave us Dune games which also have great soundtrack, Emperor especially. Was very disappointed when found out that Emperor's official soundtrack release doesn't include the whole soundtrack, they should've learned from Japan how to release soundtracks.

A very catchy little tune. Its a guitar lesson video but the first 1:30 is a cool song.

Nice glowing frets. Never seen something like that before. I've seen glowing strings.

There is a company called Fretlite or Fretlight guitars that has Leds in every fret for every string. On your computer you can punch in a song or a scale and it lights up the proper frets to play.

This is probably the last official video of the album Arjen will release. There are reports of people getting their preordered albums so I should get mine soon as well. Can't wait for the whole experience!
