What Are You Listening To Now?

Ved Buens Ende - I Sang for the Swans (1995)
I don't know how this could've existed back in 1995 and nobody realized it. Some of the most spectacular, before-their-time and generally impeccable progressive music that was ever made. There's a lot we could learn from these guys.
VELVET EDEN - 異形姫 (1999)
Did someone say said goth/post-punk? Japan is on it. This is some of the most intense goth stuff I've ever heard.

Can't get over how sublime this band is. Best way to spend an evening alone in the candlelight while getting intoxicated.

Pavement - Kennel District
Blumfeld - Verstärker
Respectively the last and penultimate act of the Big Cat Festival in Amsterdam 1995.
Pavement were a cool headliner, but Blumfeld was my favourite of the day (and still one of the best gigs I've seen).

John Harrison - The Dead Suite (Day of the Dead soundtrack)
Beautiful stuff; reminiscent of John Carpenter's soundtracks, but reminds me of Peter Gabriel's earlier albums as well.

The Jacksons - This Place Hotel (live 1981)
Originally titled Heartbreak Hotel, retitled due to rights issues.
Fleetwood Mac - Songbird
Eva Cassidy's saccharine version doesn't come close to Christine McVie's soulful original.
