Is there any info if the Sahdow Warrior version on Steam will be the pure DosBox release or an enhanced version like the DN3D-Megaton edition?

I would have to say an enhanced version like the DN3D-Megaton edition. They would have already added, the dosbox release. If that was all they were going to do.

Digital Devolver just posted this on their Facebook page:

"Devolver Digital is excited to announce Blade Analyzer Pro, a new software venture with Zilla Enterprises! Check it out on Steam Greenlight and help us release the next great tool for sword collectors on Steam!"

It's been up for a while and people have been anticipating that only the DOSBox version will be released even though it's not going to be like that at all.

http://steamcommunit...23580659980121/ Someone pointed out to me that this translates to Flying Wild Hog aka the people who made Hard Reset. Their logo also appears in the video on the Steam Workshop.

Ah, I had completely missed that! Excited to pick this up.

Nice find! Flying Wild Hogs possible involvement with Digital Devolver could be really interesting. Hard Reset wasn't on par with Serious Sam 3, but it was still a really fun game, and a great first effort for a studio. I heard they're working on something PS4 related. Stay tuned, I guess?

I'm going to bump this thread because like Duke Nukem 3D+ to Megaton, the name has changed for Shadow Warrior Complete+ to Shadow Warrior Classic Redux. http://steamdb.info/app/225160/

Sounds great. When I played it I had to use a Mac (for uni reasons) and never played one of the addons there. ;)

And besides the upcoming Larry Laffer 1 remake and the full Black Mesa release (sometime about 2056) this is the only game that is missing from my gaming history that I like to have on my current machine (has about 660 games on it). :P

I've got Shadow Warrior Classic on steam right now. It's a DOSBox version of the registered version. Same as GoG. Doesn't seem to have the expansions?

The newer one is Shadow Warrior Classic Redux.

I guess I'll ask this question here...does anyone else using GOG Shadow Warrior and the SWP port get static and echoing audio? It only affects the sound effects, the music plays fine. I've tried messing with all the audio options in SWP to no avail. Maybe a Windows 8 incompatibility? Also the audio issues are not there if I use DOSBox.

SWP hasn't been updated in ages and probably lacks the sound crackling fix needed for anything newer than XP.

Yes, in Windows 8,. The last time proAsm updated SWP was for Windows 7.

You were able to buy it? or did I miss something.

Just asking. I am going to get the Redux+ anymways as this version seems to be the same as the GoG one and I don't like the mouselook/aim there.

The version that will be purchasable will be the Redux or OpenGL port version that also included the Classic version like Megaton did.

That Shadow Warrior Classic version is purely for marketing and Dave(y) probably has contacts or snagged one of the keys for the Shadow Warrior Twitter page.

Bought this. It's a shame that I can't start user maps from the menu yet. But everything else was good. But it felt that i bought just to support the makers. Didn't find any extra value so far. And the addons I don't really like them ;) (Bear in mind I did have them when these came out, but didn't like them at that moment also)

You can start user maps if you opt in for the beta v1.0.2. Right click on Duke Nukem 3D megaton Edition in your game list and select properties then click betas tab.

How is the source port of Shadow Warrior on GoG? I bought Duke 3D on Steam because it looked like a good source port and to show some support but for some reason Shadow Warrior still isn't on Steam and GoG doesn't like my credit card.
