Another thing that might've saved DNF would have been to stick to the original story rather than patch a story at the last minute with writers who don't understand Duke Nukem lore.

It probably never had much of a story anyway.

It's pretty clear that the 'story' was just George Broussard's masturbatory fantasies. Dude had a good eye for shit that would make an interesting game, but he lacked vision and the leadership skills to tie it together.

Then he was useless.

I concur, although he knew what was essential to the Duke character. George needed a partner to hamper his balogna. That was Scott Miller's job (or at least should have been.) He dropped the ball.

How the heck did Duke Nukem 3D succeed then?

Limited technology and budget. Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition still took about three or four years to come to fruition.

Well Duke 3D came out before 3DR became rich, beyond their wildest dreams. I mean didn't Duke 3D sell over 3 million copies?

With money comes power, and as we know power corrupts. Absolute power really does corrupt. Absolutely. Add no publisher pressure, and well you know the rest. lol :P

Sentimental rambling over guys. ;)
