Just thinking about this earlier and I thought that of course the main thing I would love to see is a trailer but I guess the next best thing is the 1up preview.

If it is a 1up preview then the game is set for a 2009 release. I guess we just have to see what 3DR decides. They have 3 options:

1. Trailer (Best possible option for everyone)
2. 1up preview (At least the game will be confirmed for 2009)
3. Show nothing (Just to piss us all off and so 3DR can decrease their reputation even more)

Honestly I really hope we see something like number 1 or 2. Anything else simply isn't good enough.

If they aren't going to show us anything what the hell was the teaser and those other crappy media releases for?

I await anxiously on 3DR's decision. My anticipation is higher for this game than ever before. The teasers through the year have quenched my thirst for substantial media.

Now before people say I shouldn't expect anything well I have this to say. I would be totally fine if 3DR didn't show any media this christmas IF they didn't tease us for over a year. The fact they did tease us making us want more MAKES me WANT MORE!

It is quite simple tease if you are going to deliver. DON'T TEASE if you aren't going to.

Please don't screw us over again 3DR. I can't take much more. I am sick of it.

I can understand why those guys are angry, but what good is it going to do? They're better off being happy and excited for DNF! Especially now that it's closer than ever to being released!

Doesn't sound like a trailer but I'm hoping for a decent amount of hi resolution screenshots.

Well, after 12 years our Christmas present is a desktop wall paper? Deus Ex 3 gave us a Christmas wall paper! They only have about a year under their belt. Plus, at least triple the amount of screenshots. What the fuck is 3Drealms doing.... I mean -- seriously.

Fuck the enemies have NO COLOR at all! If you don't count grey and brown as colors of course.... And I hope there are bigger mother fuckers in the game, the scale just doesn't seem right. I know they are probably the same size as in Duke3d, but in todays games you need bigger bosses. Cyberdemon comes to mind, of course not as easy to defeat...

You are a hard person to please I think the scale is pretty good, it's not over the top, but still the bosses are BIG. As for color, it's not cartoony, but there is color, but not as much as in Duke Nukem 3D.

It is an awesome Wallpaper. Looks spectacular on my computer.

But I was utterly gutted today. I honestly can't see much of a chance to see anything else at all soon now that they have released that.

As nice as it is I think 3DR see that releasing something unsubstantial gives them an excuse not to show us anything for a while.

There is no point showing descent to 3DR on their own forums it isn't going to do anything. I have tried that route. It doesn't get you anywhere.

I post on the 3DR forums being pretty lighthearted about the whole DNF saga. I try not to whine over there although I do have the occassional outburst.

George is a free spirit. He does whatever the hell he wants and he has proven this over the years. He releases stuff when he feels like it in any shape or form.

I go on the 3DR forums trying to remain positive. I have the duke4 forums to remain bitter and go bitch about the game AND 3DR's policies and methods.

Graphics-wise I'm not too impressed with the game (Gears looks about as good if not better) which is why I want a trailer. I think DNF will do better in the area of gameplay and motion. Don't get me wrong though, the graphics are very nice and by no means appalling.

It's to be expected, even I thought that they where not that stupid to release a screenshot. I don't know what's going on there anymore, perhaps we need to log off for a while

Regardless, as nice as the wallpaper is, and I really do think it is nice. It is not substantial media. You simply do not put out a teaser a year ago if you can't back it up with something like a trailer.

I guess in an affect they were teasing nothing. They obviously don't have anything to show of the game.

We need MORE than that. A lot MORE. I think 3D Realms need a big wake up call.

We have waited too long guys. Yes the wallpaper is nice (looks great) but they simply aren't living up to the teases they gave us. It is time to whip out a trailer.

I expect nothing less than a trailer now. But hey there is still 12 days to go like Lotan said. I guess we have to be EXTREMELY OPTIMISTIC

Who knows how George's mind works. He might release the game tomorrow for all we know (Well we do know on that one ).

Even though we don't know when the trailer is coming, I will literally "Jizz in my pants" the day it arrives. If the game is ever released well... I won't be held responsible for my actions.

Still we better get the 1UP preview otherwise we won't be completely sure if DNF will release next year.
