I don't really have favorites. There are some games that has music that i simply love. Final fantasy, devil may cry, red alert. Lot's more. Duke nukem has great music too. Doom as well.

It's not PC, but... it's so notable in my playlist that it practically completely dominated it.

Castlevania. Entire series. Most awesome soundtrack.
Chaos Legion. PC this time. Superb orchestral extravaganza.
Devil May Cry, the entire series. Awesome.
The Last Remnant. Enchanting.

There's more of it, of course. These 4 came to my mind first.

I love Zynthetic's work on Killing Floor and his other works. He tends to do more Dark Trance and Ambient stuff than Metal and conventionally structured music, but he does great work and his other stuff before and after the KF soundtrack is fantastic.

I preferred David Haslam's soundtrack for the free mod version of Killing Floor, specifically the original menu music.

Ugh. I couldn't stand DNF's sequenced MIDI guitars in the soundtrack. Sounds so fake and grating.

Yeah but just two media per post are allowed, anyway I was expecting someone else post that tune :)

@MusicallyInspired: Well not everyone has an ear as sharp as yours ;)

Honestly, I would have preferred a generic orchestral soundtrack to the bland generic fake guitar rock soundtrack that DNF currently has. :)

That's a great track, which is why I used it for my UT map :)

I loved Full Throttle and this opening song by the Gone Jackals made me go out and buy their CD immediately. Too bad none of their other songs are nearly as memorable. Still a good album.

Indeed. Great music. Even the orchestral stuff (recorded from a SC-55, by the way) is great to listen to. I only wish we had the instrumental stuff used in the game in higher quality and in stereo.

The Syphon Filter Theme (1999) will always have a special place in my heart. Oh the nostalgia. Long gaming nights in front of my PS1 in my room, all the lights turned out. Ah...

And the Homeworld series in general has always had some great atmospheric tracks, but I particularly love this bit that starts around 3 minutes and 50 seconds from Homeworld Cataclysm.

That's the exact same type of memories I have with the siphon filter games.
The problem is that this thread is called Geart OST from modern age PC/Console games.
What does modern age stand for?
If you ask me, Siphon Filter 1 is old school not modern age by any means.

Well, I made the thread along with this: Your favourite games from the past and its glorious soundtrack... so any game released before say 2000 could be posted in that thread.

Obviously any midi music doesn't qualify as modern.
