(OUTDATED) Mr.Deviance Strikes Again... I've found a very easy and native way to enable a simplified console in the full game :D

I also had a problem with the game becoming unresponsive and the mouse cursor appearing which wouldn't fix until I restarted the game. If this happens it means you've already assigned the Tilde key to the actual console which doesn't work. To fix this and use the Tilde key for the SOS console type in the devlog:

Set dnWindow.DukeConsole ConsoleKey

This will unbind the DukeConsole from the Tilde key or any key at all. Then you can use the:

set input Tilde ShowControls | Type

command to enable the SOS console on the Tilde key (if it isn't already) and it will work!

Thanks man, is all working well now, that was a pretty frustrating problem +1

SUMMON EDF_GRUNT
SUMMON assaulttrooper_grunt
SUMMON pigcop_grunt
SUMMON pigcop_dualpistol
SUMMON pigcop_machinegun
SUMMON pigcop_rpg octababy
SUMMON pregnator
SUMMON cycloid

That's what I could find for now, if anybody know where to get more from, leave a reply.

i found also to work these below :D
SUMMON assaultcommander
SUMMON enforcer
SUMMON octabrain
.. hehe. i summoned like a good 15 assault commanders on the top of the dam during the battlelord boss fight.. but i cannot get the "battlelord" to summon yet for some wierd reason..
ive tried SUMMON Battlelord SUMMON battlelord SUMMON BattleLord SUMMON BATTLELORD it must be something else. as for spawning the females i havent got that working yet. However dnclip does work!
So i clipped through that vent that let me go right up2 that woman on the bed naked! - if your unsure where this is- Right after the mothership battle you break a vent cover.. now in stead of going left, you go right and break another cover that looks like a dead end.. follow this and you'll be at the vent grating where you can see the woman, so just dnclip and bingo! :D

3) ???
4) Nothing happens.
Help please. I need that console

By the way, Mr.Deviance, you're doing a great job here. You did something gearbox couldn't do for the whole week. Keep up the good work!

You might need to run FWS first before DNF :D

Thanks to Mr.Deviance for getting the console work again :D , I just found out almost all demo cheat work:

Testing this out and it works great. While I'm still a bit upset about my save game issue, I am having a lot of fun spawning enemies, and being able to fix all the niggly graphical options in the game is pretty neat, so I'm not as annoyed before. Can't wait to see what else you guys find!

It's Tilde not Tlide :D
No matter how simple you make it, there are always people that just don't get it...
What more do you want me to explain?
My tutorial is for absolute retards, I don't know what's so damn hard to understand.
I refuse to make a point by point and a click by click tutorial because!
1. I don't have time for that.
2. If you aren't capable of following a tutorial at such a simple level then you most definitely shouldn't be tampering with the console because it's obviously something with which you would certainly manage to set your pc on fire by mistake...

Today, a guy from one of my forums, told me about this site that shows on this hard to find page the "Type" command on the bottom of the page.
http://wiki.beyondun...onsole_Commands
I had to fuck around for ages to find this command and here it was on a site all along.
Also, there's a command there on that page "FreeCamera" that allows you to spin the camera around Duke to better see him from all angles.
If you want to see him closer type "fov 40" after you've typed "freecamera"
Now you can see Duke's face without having to look into those mirrors that ruin the resolution. :D

Ok, the FOV of view fix awesome, thanks!

Secondly, I'm trying to get the console to come up but can't get it to work. Devlog shows and I type in the command but the key brings up "Say" instead of the console. I've tried different keys, all the same result. Any idea?

This isn't news or praiseworthy. This was ripped most likely from the info in the Gearbox forums. It's not like the concept of console commands are new.

Updates from Gearbox will most likely eventually lock out this functionality as it has the capability to be abused in multiplayer. Not to mention the costs of supporting what are essentially developer features, no matter how useful to the consumers, in tech support when some idiot manages to mangle their Duke install. Just wait. It'll happen.

Yeah unfortunately I know some developers who frown on such stuff for just that reason. They don't even like the unlock FOV option in Bioshock because they say it breaks the atmosphere. It almost seems they don't realize that not everyone has the same kind of monitor and the zoomed in FOV many games ship with nowadays where designed with console play sitting far away from the screen in mind. Also often times with games in order to unlock their full potential you need console variables.

Wrong wrong and WRONG.
1. I did not rip this from the gearbox forum, that is pure bullshit speculation on your part and there's absolutely no info about this command on that forum.
If you make bald claims like that, you better back them up with proof and sources, otherwise kindly shut the fuck up.

2.This does not have the capability to be abused in multiplayer because this console does not work in multiplayer...
Stop talking about this console and start informing yourself about the entire story and drama with the DNF console and after that, you will realize why this topic was worth making.
I agree that it's not worth praising me for it but it's a useful topic for lots of people (modders or not)

Anyone dissin' Mr.Deviance's greatness here with helping us get our console can have a nice cup of STFU.
do you even Like to have fun 'RunningWild'? this is Mr.Deviances own work thankyou. and it doesnt ruin multiplayer as it absolutely doesnt work in there. pressing it only brings up the menu to talk.
we can do so much more with this game now, so get your facts right.
And how stupid can one be? Who would bother to even mention this at the GBX forums?? you'd surely get banned just for letting people know of this over there..

it's a big shame that gbx haven't given us the ability to do some of these things right off the bat, but now we can, and without there help, which probably we will not see for how long? Meh.
Your doing a good thing here Mr.Deviance. RunningWild* think before you post eh?

Thank you so much Mr.Deviance for all your efforts. You have extended the replay value of DNF many times over in my eyes. Having Flawless Widescreen and access to the DevLog is great. But having this SOS console in the game now is FANTASTIC! For those of you who don't know what I am talking about, go back and read Mr.Deviance's first post in this thread. To say thanks, I would like to contribute myself.

If you have completed the game once through at any difficultly setting, you already know that you then get the option of replaying the game at the start of any chapter. For those of you who don't want to or are unable to finish the game, you now have another option. With just a bit of experimenting, I have now found that you can jump to and replay any checkpoint you want to in the game, not just the beginning of a chapter or map. Obviously the developers want players to play the game through from one chapter to the next. and not jump ahead and look at future levels without completing the levels before it. I would recommend this also. There are also problems involved with jumping forward involving not having the weapon you need to use at that point or sometimes not having any weapon at all! (See my update after the map listing.) That being said, here is what you need to do.

With the help of the Super High Clearance SOS Console, using the format "map mapXX" you can go to any one of 36 different maps in the game. In addition to the start of each map, you can also go to a checkpoint in each map by typing an additional checkpoint number using the format "map mapXX XX". This takes you to any one of 114 different checkpoints in the game, in addition to the start of each of 36 maps, for a total of 150 places you can jump to.

For example, "map map00 04" will send you to Duke in the penthouse right after the twins have left him on the couch. Likewise, "map map08 01" will take you right to the fight with the Queen Bitch, and "map map11c 01" will send you to the roof right before the epic fight on the top of Duke Burger takes place. Again, if you leave off the checkpoint number, it will take you to the start of the map which may or may not be the start of a chapter also. Of the 23 chapters, 9 have two parts, and 2 have three parts. You have to be careful that the map and checkpoint you want actually exists, or else you will get an error screen and it will kick you back to the main menu.

(For "Duke Nukem's Titty City" map 09, and "The Duke Burger" map 11, there are no checkpoints in those maps. If you try to enter a checkpoint, you will get an error. Simply list only the map number to go to the start of those maps.)

Here then are the list of maps and checkpoints in DNF that you can use with Mr. Deviance's SOS Console.
Use the format "map mapXX" to go to the start of a map.
Use the format "map mapXX XX" to go to a checkpoint in a map.

UPDATE: The map information above has been updated. I'm fairly sure everything is now correct. If someone finds an error please let me know and I will correct it.

Here are some of my favorite map jumping points for going straight to fights...
map map04b 06 Lady Killer Casino fight
map map05 06 Vegas In Ruin - Battle before BattleLord
map map08 01 Fight with the Queen Bitch
map map11c 01 Fight on top of Duke Burger
map map15 02 Dam Top fight before BattleLord

As stated above, you might encounter problems with jumping forward to a certain map or checkpoint which involves not having the weapon you need to use at that point or sometimes not having any weapon. Every map or checkpoint that you jump to, if you have not yet picked up a weapon, Duke will move slower and the sprint key will not work. You can fix this by either picking up a weapon or using a cheat such as "allammo" to drop all weapons at your feet if there aren't any around. (See my next post on other commands that I have tested that also work in the SOS console.)

Big mouth and a big ego :D. You can just tell he's a Duke guy by the way he talks. I think I've had one disagreement with him, and that was over Duke Nukem Reloaded. As for his rep. Him and I got into a troll fight against this guy dukeyofearl, he kept getting negatives, so I just gave him all the positives I could. He also made a point about the rep system, when he was in the negatives he would keep getting negatives, when he was in the positives he would keep getting positives. Can't argue with the guy.

Ah shit, was I just ass kissing? That's not what I meant to do.

Cheat commands you can use with Mr.Deviance's SOS Console...

The following I have tested and all work...

god - Toggles god mode
ghost - Toggles noclip mode
allammo - Gives all weapons and items
dnammo - Toggles unlimited ammo mode
playersonly - Toggles freezing time around you (You won't see the effect of weapons until time is unfrozen.)
slomo <0.1 - inf> - slow/fast motion time (1 = normal time)
behindview - Toggles between third and first person view
invisible - makes you invisible to your enemies
suicide - kill yourself (god mode must not be on)
dnrate - shows frame rate

You can have a blast with these. Some have quirks however. Using invisible I found the bloody charging pigcops could still find me. (Must be using their sense of smell.) If you use behindview to play with Duke in thirdperson mode and you get knocked down (like by a boss for example) third person Duke doesn't get his bearings straight, and you have to "reset" him. You can do this by binding the command to a key using the DevLog with FlawLess WideScreen, with the format as Mr.Deviance has mentioned. For example, "set input F10 BehindView" so you can quickly switch back and forth between first person and third person view of Duke so he can get going in the right direction again. Third person Duke still has problems, and any boss battle in third person you are not able to climb the boss when he goes down to do what you have to do. So any boss battle when the boss goes down, you must switch back to first person. (You can do this without binding a key of course by just pausing the game with Mr.Deviance's SOS and entering "behindview".)

NOTE: If you are using this method to bind a key, if it is a key you are also currently using in your main menu list, make sure the main words are capitalized or Steam and the game may not accept it. For example, if you are using F10 as a key in your main menu, instead of "set input F10 behindview" you should instead use "set input F10 BehindView". I couldn't figure out why I couldn't bind my shift key back to "moveforward", (and it kept showing the spot as "Empty" in the game) until I realized Steam and the game wanted "MoveForward" instead. If you are having problems with a key that keeps showing up in the game as "Empty" even though you keep setting it in the game, then use the DevLog with FlawLess WideScreen to clear it first "set input Shift", before then entering "set input Shift MoveForward". I tried entering directly into the "user.ini" file myself and setting it as read only, but none of that worked. Using the DevLog with FlawLess WideScreen to bind keys however DOES work.

One more thing... I have one command which is not working.

Having completed the game on Normal Level, I have the Instagib option in my menu now anyway, but my friend is still struggling finishing the game at this level, although he had no problem following Mr. Deviance's instructions. However, "set engine.playerpawn binstagib true" I found elsewhere does not work as the other commands do. So I am asking if anyone knows of a command for instagib, because it's something I want him to have also.

And thank you Mr.Deviance once again for giving us this console.

Is there a way to spawn a bunch of beer and get absolutely wasted? I found some pop machines, but I haven't found any beer vendors other than the beer you see lying around.

Best thing I could suggest is just to go to Titty City and drink the 9 beers you will find there. :D
