Apparently he was born in Chicago...but he is a country boy at heart (apparently). I think I remember hearing that he flies the only helicopter in his county and lets the sheriff department use it (for rescues).
I've only heard the expression in Kentucky...but Kentucky is good ol southern country...

Of course, if Ford used it in a movie...well, that is out.

I live in an apartment complex where I'm pretty sure no one speaks English (as a first language or even if they did, it isn't usually intelligible) That is unfair, there are some intelligent people in this complex, but, damn...they are few and far in between. Rednecks you expect to be stupid and such but suburban/urban dwellers who are under educated are just self-righteous, loud, obnoxious, idiots...

Also, in the country, you don't have to see your neighbors; here I have to deal with these people as often as I ride the bus...which is pretty much every day.
