Had this running thing that Blood is cursed for a while. I was editing Part 9 of my Let's Play when I encountered a bit where I literally get shot by nothing in the hospital morgue. To demonstrate how messed up this was I played it back at 1/4 speed, nothing in the room dies at this time but a scream - nothing like the regular one - is heard at this time. Moments later I get choked by a hand and I cannot move, the screen goes black and the choking goes on for ages until I try to load a game, at which point the game crashes. Upon restarting strange things continue to happen until I throw the switch that opens the exit, I turn to leave, instead headed for the secret exit I opened earlier, but Caleb hugs the floor, won't walk forward and will not jump (I have to jump up in the church to reach the exit) his movement is shaky and the screen wobbles all over.
The computer had hard drive failure a month later, as have four others that I have played the game on. Then, whilst recording a voice message for the end of the video (I had gone quiet at the time of recording due to how fucked up things were, I was trying not to throw the keyboard and just shut the game off) my computer freaked the hell out.
I'm not a superstitious person, but if I was, I would be giving serious thought to the game being cursed. As it is, I think the code is just sloppy and the audacity freak-out is probably just due to the workstation that was running on being unreliable anyway... The P2 I played Blood on was reliable though. I can't explain the machine failures, all I can put it down to is coincidence... The drive failures though, I am seriously starting to grow suspicious as it is not unheard of for software to damage a drive if it accesses the same area repeatedly at short intervals, it's rare but there are documented cases but their validity is debated.
Sorry, tired, rambling, you know the drill.
