Germany had better control but Argentina had more chances IMO. Also, had the referee "seen" the brutal penalty Germany´s goalkeeper did to Higuain and the story could have been different. I was very upset to see the team lose because they played awesome. It´s still a silver medal, and I remember being very happy in 1990 for the same award. So proud of the team yeat, they gave everything!

That play with the goalie was legit. The goalie is always right. He got all ball in that play, the Argentina player just happened to be jump into his hip.

The play in the extra time where the German took a fist to the face (and started bleeding) was of the same type of incident: Shit happens, man.

When "Shit happens, man." you're supposed to throw yourself on the floor 20 seconds later when you've decided it may have looked painful, scream like a little girl and hope the ref awards you a free kick, penalty or awards the other team with a booking. You are not meant to just deal with it and move on.

You´re obviously not being objective. Argentina wasn´t on their knees at all, the game could have ended up in a draw or in any other way. I don´t take credit away to Germany, which was the best team of the worldcup. But that superiority wasn´t evident in that game, "we" were not Brazil. I understand the stockholm syndrome most vicious Brazil fans have developed with Germany. That IS being on knees. About the fouls, I havent checked the stats of the game, but you ought to be wrong. And I didn´t see Higuain crying or lying on the floor after being hit with a kung-fu knee directly to the face. Exagerating fouls is something all players of the world do -eheem Robben- I don´t like it either but it´s been like that for decades.

All in all, it was a great game. I watched it with a bunch of people pulling for Argentina. As someone from German descent, I was pulling for Germany a bit more. I was really just into watching a good game. It was an intense game with lots of chances for both teams. That goal in the end was just beautiful.

Finished watching 24 Live Another Day (final episode)

-Audrey dies.
-Jack gets revenge (beheads Cheng Zhi with a sword, but not before saying "This is for Audrey you son of a bitch"). Cheng was involved in season 6 for torturing Audrey, as well as Jack accidentally shooting one of their own inside the Chinese consulate in season 4 (friendly fire). In retaliation, Cheng captured Jack at the end of season 5 and had him imprisoned in a maximum security forced labor camp. Jack was let go in season 6, for some kind of prisoner trade deal.

-Jack gets handed over to the Russians for assassinating one of their political members (inside their consulate last season for the Russians killing Renee Walker, one of Jack's girlfriends in season 7 & 8)
-This is the "time jump" episode, which takes place between 10:00 PM to 11:00 AM (because it's only a half season). The time jump occurs around the 35 minute mark of the 42 minute episode.
-Mark Boudreau (Audrey's husband) will face treason charges for forging President Heller's signature (earlier in the season) and will be extradited to the US to face trial and the death penalty (or life in prison, depends on the state).

Overall a good satisfying end to the series. Pretty damn good episode.
