My dad is on his fourth Lexus ES. I never cared for the older ones too much but the new model based on the Avalon platform is really nice. Basically a Mercedes E-Class minus the AWD and the price tag.

I will, it is not as powerful as your one it 1.9, 155 bhp.

No one says 1.9
They are both 2 litre, except if you are saying its 155 hp, then you have the "family" version 1G-FE 1988cc
I have the 3S-GE 207 bhp 1998cc

That's true, except for the is200/altezza owners, it's kind of a cult car. The other models are for snobs who drive cars like Mercs.

@Viper,133,000 Miles, year 2002. That's a lot but it's in excellent condition, Toyota of that era are warrior cars, they last for ages with a little bit of care.

There are a couple of thing you can do to give it more pop which I might look into later.

That's a really great price. In New York, where used cars are really cheap, that car would cost $5-6000, easily.

Not really, he negotiates really low leasing rates.

The new ES350 is an absolute steal. It's only about $42,000 but God damn does it look, feel, and drive like something much pricier.

Actually, I'm not sure I think it is but maybe it's more, it is the sport version. I will have to find out.

The engine model number/make should be printed on the very front of the engine just above the main pulley.
Then just refer to the graph above to get the stats for that engine.

Thanks I will. Either way it's a big step up from the little death trap I was driving before. Last year I went into a spin on a narrow winding country road but somehow managed to get it to stop before it went through a wall and into a river, after that I decided I needed a more stable car. Glanzas are nippy and fun but strong crosswind can take control from you in an instant.

Don't worry about it, I was dirt poor until I was about 27 when I upgraded to poor, I still can't afford my own house.

Poor is acceptable to me, as long as I'm not living in a hut with 10 other people and I have the internet and electricity, I'm OK. I don't aspire to be rich but if someone gave me a million I wouldn't say no.

I think when you don't have much you appreciate the little things when you get them. That car I got only cost 2k, many people would laugh at me being so excited for that.

But I am doing well in my new job and recently got a raise so I might not be poor forever.

Not really. Lexus owners tend to not be enthusiasts.

The point is that you have to be a fucken jedi to find a car with automatic transmission in Europe. Here anyway.

I don't want to be rich by any means either. But not having a running vehicle just makes life really unnecessarily hard when there's jack shit for miles.

Yeah I'd say that's shit alright. I want to live in the middle of nowhere but the problem is jobs.

Anyway, here's a picture of my dog (Duke) on a couch on a beach. That other spotted runt is my dads dog.

nobody knows how to use those these days. might as well ask them the difference between a snow tire and a regular tire.

I use Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires. I have no room to store winter tires, so those are the next best thing. No other all season tire gives you that much snow traction. And only one all season tire is stickier when it's sunny out. I fucking love these things.

I have 255's in the front and 275's in the rear...I can only chirp second gear with these things. TIME FOR MORE POOOOOWWWWEEEEERRRRRR!
