Should be receiving my first big paycheck from my new job. The initial check was for one week because I started on the third week of the month, and they pay on the second and fourth week.

Today I decided that if the federal Government can take a day off if they want, I can too. I tried to get in yesterday during the actual snow storm because I was scheduled to actually do something yesterday at work. Today, I had nothing on my schedule and my transportation situation hasn't exactly improved since then.

Congrats, Jeff, on getting a job.

Mythbusters did that. They showed that it wasn't so much the space as it was the weight. When two people try to sit on it, the raft/fragment tilts and totters until they both die of hypothermia. However, they also were able to rig it up so that they both were able to sit on the raft. But they used the life vest as extra buoyancy for the raft.

Yep, and it was very clearly showed in the movie.

i don't think i seen that episode

did they take into account the conditions of the ocean & wind?
I don't think a flat board would keep a person nice and dry. seems like waves would still soak the person and kill them from hypothermia

The content of my post has no meaning. I just pointed out that the thread died after he posted, whatever was the content of his or my post has no relevancy.

Ie. It's a joke.

what i said was obviously a joke as i was referencing the stupid media frenzy that was created when he refused to wear a us flag lapel pin

i used your post as a set up. whatever was in your post or my post has no relevancy.

not sure why you felt it necessary to point all this out like i'm oblivious

Got a new car today, Lexus is200 sport (2002). I've wanted one of these for a while now especially in this colour. I need to ghetto it up a little bit but nothing too extreme, going to tint the rear and back windows and respray the alloys matt black.
I can't bring myself to sell my old Jap import Glanza (I would never get what it's worth and I've spent so much time fixing it) so I will give it to my brother who has no job atm and can't afford a car. It only cost €1900, which is a steal for such a well made car, a few weeks ago it was a grand more but it dropped in price after the new year so I jumped on it.

Your one is very nice, I think that's the nicest colour to get one in but I would tone down the body kit except the spoiler which is also very nice. They are awesome cars.

I have to wait until Tuesday to take mine home, the wait is killing me if I had it now I think I would cruise until the early hours. I also can't wait to start the coolification process, window tinting, alloy respraying, needs a chrome exhaust too and a few other little things but I will wait until I know the car a bit better before I do anything to the engine.

Doesn't it say € in the price? That means it's 99.99999% chance manual transmission.

I have no fucking clue why the sign is before the price though.

I will, it is not as powerful as your one it 1.9, 155 bhp.

Haha of course, I love driving, how can you drive without manual? Automatic is like Mario Kart, the feeling of changing gear quickly is a thing in itself.

Most cars in Ireland would be manual, it's the norm here.

Not really. Lexus owners tend to not be enthusiasts.

Yeah I'm aware of that, in the U.S. people are terrified of the man pedal. How many miles are on your car? And what year is it?

That's true, except for the is200/altezza owners, it's kind of a cult car. The other models are for snobs who drive cars like Mercs.

@Viper,133,000 Miles, year 2002. That's a lot but it's in excellent condition, Toyota of that era are warrior cars, they last for ages with a little bit of care.

There are a couple of thing you can do to give it more pop which I might look into later.
