Mine either. I know a couple words, but not enough to string a sentence together.

Actually not sure if it runs with EDuke32, though it should since it was a 1.5 modification. Hold USE to stomp on things, and to drink water. Use what was previously the Freezer to pee it out.

Even for seasoned German speakers this would be a braintickler.

I have to live near a place that speaks a language to care about it? That is silly... we live in an international world. Sure, I could be an American isolationist and never care about the rest of the world but I'd rather be able to communicate and understand other people in other countries. A language is a huge part of a culture. If you know the language, you can begin to understand the culture.

Google translate has its pros and cons. I like that it now allows users to move arount and change the translation it provides. It gets confused when you introduce relative clauses and extended adjectival constructions in German.

-Germany has a famous highway called the Autobahn, similar to my Trans Canada Highway or the US Interstate.
-Their Chancellor (my Prime Minister equivalent) is Angela Merkel.
-Strong work ethic.
-Make nice fancy cars (Porsche)
-The holocaust that happened in World War 2. Not really something to bring up, but it was apart of their country's history.
-One of their airports (Frankfurt/Main) is one of the busiest airports in Europe.
Just off the top of my head.

Absolutely. I've been studying french for 6 years, and I'm pretty sure that Australia is on the exact opposite side the planet (look it up on a globe). It's literally about as far as you can get from France. Learning a language can help you understand your own language better, and IMO increases your own cultural worth, like learning a musical instrument, even if you never actually use the language in a needed situation.
Edit: Nice work Hendricks! Not really sure how good that is TBH but I'm guessing it's nice.

Online dating may have paid off. I met a cool chick (who is a couple years older than me but I don't care) who is as direct as me and doesn't waste time playing hard-to-get. I appreciate that so I think I'll try to set something up sometime next month. Could be sweet!

For CompEng, it's excellent: #5 in the nation, not to mention it's close to home and I'll get in-state tuition.

Computer Engineering is a fun thing. If I hadn't fallen in love with languages and spurned calculus, I would have gone into engineering or computer science. My brother went to University of Missouri, Rolla for computer engineering. I remember hearing at some point that average salary upon graduation was in the $40K range.

Excellent, you'll be updating eduke32 like a wizard in no time

In other news why is Yatta asking everyone "who doesn't have Duke 3D"?

Probably because he has copies he wants to give away or sell. I'm positive it has nothing to do with piracy (as Lunick seems to imply) outside of discouraging it.
Also, Computer Engineering is robots, not software development. Computer Science is programming. Computer engineers build the robots that will destroy us all, but the computer scientists write the AI that rises up against us.
