That's why I'm doing them now. It really is rather pathetic. Though I stopped lifting weights and playing basketball after I graduated. I was becoming very lethargic. Changing that now. I've also lost like 20 lbs, and working on losing more, it's just hard when you don't buy the groceries or have access to a gym. Cardio is bullshit, so push-ups is the way to go. (Cut sugar out of your diet, especially from non-nutritious sources like soda, and you could see a huge difference if you were a fat shit like me who just drank soda all day. Being fat is mostly a hormonal and genetic thing.)

I didn't do shit in the last 5 years, quite frankly. Not fat. Maybe gained 3kg above what I usually had.

Though, my friend invited me to run with her so I'll probably begin doing that for some time. Not sure it'll change much.

Doesn't

That sucks man, like hell. I can do like 50 pushups if I want, maybe even more.

What I meant by that was the ones where you do it on your knees instead of the full ones where you use your feet to do it. I'm not morbidly obese, just out of shape. Only about 5 pounds overweight, but I don't have any muscle on me.

I was lifting some stuff at work and I said to this guy I work with that I don't have any muscles. He pulls his shirt back and reveals these huge biceps. I was shocked.

Oh well, my brother always said I should start lifting weights.

It's not contradictory at all. Sugar heavily affects hormones. Ever heard of diabetes? That's a hormonal disease. In fact, it was diabetes that kinda scared me into thinking more about my health. That is a disease I do not want to have. The food you eat is more than just crap you put into your facehole, the type of food you eat can elicit different hormonal responses from your body, responses that tell your body to store or burn fat. Some people are genetically predisposed to being bigger, and others are not. It's possible to to be skinny and have heart disease and type II diabetes, and it's also possible to be what society believes to be fat and be in good health. It's not as cut and dry as those douchebags on the telly want you to believe. I actually find the whole science behind it really amazing. If yer interested, you could try watching the movie Fat-Head (free on Hulu), which got me to dig deeper. It's funny and informative.

About the sugar addiction stuff, I've been reading that the urge for sugary or salty snacks is caused by something called adrenal fatigue. One of the symptoms of this is not getting enough water in the day. I know they say you're supposed to drink 2 L of water a day, however, I've recently discovered that the amount you actually need is dependent on your weight. For example, I'm 210 lbs, so I would need to drink roughly 105 oz of water per day.

I have been lifting proper weights since I was 14, I am now 31, before that I lifted house bricks because I couldn't afford proper weights. The only time I have ever stopped in 17 years of this is when I over did it, and torn a rotary cuff muscle (twice) and I got Tennis elbow(which lasted 6 months), which are both symptoms of over doing it or not being properly warmed up. I eat a very high protein diet, but that allows me to eat fried chicken and pizza at least twice a week as I need the fat and calories to fuel a workout. I also drink a lot, nearly every two days but not enough to get drunk, I just like alcohol. I also run, and I am in pretty good shape, no six pack of course but I have a big muscular frame which is good enough for me, I do hundreds of sit ups but the tone is hidden under a minor beer gut, I don't care about that as its merely cosmetic, my core is still strong. The bottom line is that if you exercise enough you can eat the good things in life but in moderation of course. In fairness I work out 5-6 days a week using isolation exercises, I am unemployed at the moment if I had a job this would not be the case.
If you really want to burn fat lift weights but also run, if you have a high muscle density you will burn more fat even when you sleep, people are only catching on to this lately. But still you can look awesome on the outside and be in bits on the inside, so looks are deceiving.

Been doing some research on trying to automate my house cleaning. Most people dread the chore, but I've managed to turn some things from scrubbing toilets, showers and sinks into pressing a button. Bought one of these automatic shower and toilet cleaners. Although I initially had to clean it, I now just push a button and it cleans itself. Also turned the toilet cleaner into a sink cleaner for my kitchen sink.

I did some jogging some weeks ago but haven't really exerciced in ages. I'm sure a large percentage of the guys I meet could kick my ass in no time but tbh I give 0 fucks. I might not be the strongest guy but I've got endurance where it matters :)

Metabolism, yo. Some people have it and some people don't. Growing up I was pretty chunky, and I learned around my early teenage years that I had to work to keep in shape, even if my eating habits were relatively decent. My brother, on the other hand, has always been able to shove whatever he wants (and however much of it he wants) into his mouth without ever gaining an ounce. I've always hoped that eventually his age would catch up to him (he's five years my senior) but to this day he still eats whatever he wants, does absolutely nothing, and stays rail-thin. If C.A's on the heavier side, then working towards 10 push-ups might be a feasible goal IMO, though it might be a good idea for him to do multiple sets :)

In any event, I've decided to start doing another set of knuckle push-ups in addition to my usual 300. Eventually I want it to take the regimen over completely. I can totally feel the difference.

I do try not to eat much since I have a passive way of life. Hate to become fat or even have a belly, but not really want to waste time on going to gym. Of course that doesn't mean I'm on some kind of a diet. Still eat cakes, ice-cream etc. whenever I want.

Went walking and saw some kid squirrels. They're pretty fun to watch since they behave almost like the grown-ups, including dangerous acrobatics that can make them fall off the tree :) .

Can't say I have been getting that error Cody. Sometimes the first time I try to sign into Steam it fails but the second time I try it works...

I've gained at least a kilogram in the past three weeks, probably 2 (maybe 4 pounds?). At first I was in denial, but now that I think about it, I was doing so much walking around at university pretty much every day, and then suddenly I'm cooped up at home 'studying' for exams while eating the same amount of food as I did before. I had no idea walking burnt off so much energy. Once exams are over, I'll have to cut down my food intake and exercise twice a day (walking in morning, jogging at night) in order to get back to where I was before, hopefully even lower, by the time university starts up again.

Never saw this error.

This error only happens with source based games, not the Steam application its self.

One way to trigger it 80% of the time is if you have to ALT+CTRL+DELETE and force HL2.EXE (or what ever it is) to close then try relaunch it again which causes the above error.
To fix the above error you then have to completely exit Steam, it was even worse for me when I was mapping with Hammer because restarting Steam wouldn't work and I would have to restart the PC to fix the issue.

That is also the first time I see someone spell "ctrl-alt-del" in that order. :(

Alt Ctrl Delete makes perfect sense to me. That is how I always refer to it. I think that is also how Windows references it.

RightAlt is to the left of RightCtrl, so it would make logical sense if you weren't a touch-typer (generally the left hand rests over LeftCtrl and LeftAlt for touch-typers).

There is no order. I hit all three at once (Sometimes with one hand).

Windows 7 doesn't, that I see. I just remember hearing ALT-CTRL-DELETE. Any other order looks wrong. I suspect it has to do with it not being alphabetical.

It wouldn't make logical to press this combination with one hand. Especially on a classic keyboard where DEL is quite far.

You know what they say about people with small hands...
Attached Image: bighands.JPG

And I don't have a small keyboard. I specifically bought a larger older style keyboard because I like my keyboard to make click noises when I type. On a laptop keyboard I can do this even easier (and when I'm not taking a picture). I don't know what type of keyboard you use, but there isn't more than 2 inches between each of the three keys on most keyboards.

Yes, on really old IBM keyboards where the keys are on opposite sides...but QWERTY keyboards have no such problem.

What I'm actually going to miss are the (nearly) constant social activities. I was in a dorm with lots of awesome people... Here, my friends live like 20km away. I'll have to get used to not having people around anymore.

The actual country is pretty cool too I guess. :(
