Ah, I actually see how you inferred that post now! Perfect example of how written language loses it's inflection, and therefor makes the meaning ambiguous.

I like the change in the forum where we can see who has voted on a post now. It's also more interesting to go back to your older down votes and see who did the nastiness

Now I can finally see what went on with this post: Posted Image http://forums.duke4....post__p__118820

So my group came third out of 21 with the tower thing. Apparently we were allowed to use the box when we were initially told we couldn't (if we knew that we could have reduced the weight and potentially won first prize). Still, my group won $150, we all got full marks, had a free barbecue and got a free shirt. Our group only had 3 people so that's $50 each, as opposed to all the other groups which had about 10 Posted Image

So this thing is just over 1.5 metres high, can hold over 1.25 litres of water, and was built in 4 minutes due to some serious design innovation (it had to initially fit in a small box). The bottle fitted in sideways through the top triangular prism which held it in place. Some groups actually tried rolling their tubes in the time limit... like that was going to work.

Anyway here's me lifting the tower off the ground holding one column, because it's such an awesome and strong design. The only problem is the photo makes me look really short and fat :P

Lol, awkward. It was fairly humid, and I was wearing a backpack most of the day.

Sometimes I think it's just an accident, would be nice to have a cancel vote or something.

Seems you can force FSX to use SLI. Just rename the sim's EXE file and set SLI AFR mode in Nvidia's Inspector. Works for Crossfire too with AMD cards. Huge boost I heard.

Not much of a scandal, but my suspicions on the user "rasmus thorup" going around down voting many of my posts that generally seem random proved correct.

There's a god damn infestation of crane flies in our apartment complex, they're all over the place. Some of them have found their way inside the apartment, so I've been having to get them back out, but it's not easy. I don't like to kill bugs that pose no threat to humans, so I've been trying to be as gentle as I can when I'm catching them, but their crazy, sporadic flying makes it tough. I haven't accidentally killed any, but of the six I've caught, only one was released with all of its legs/wings in-tact. This is what I hate about the onset of spring. As the weather warms up, there'll be crickets, and then the lovebugs, etc. It's like Hitchcock's Birds, only with annoying, mostly harmless insects.

Begun the Rep War has.

I hope it won't come to this, though, cause Imperor TX would then execute Order 66 and we won't be able to see votes again.

My new case just got here, the top panel has been snapped off and now I'll probably have to pay to mail it back, it's 10KG in weight so that won't be cheap.

RotS at least had a few moments that made me laugh out loud (at the narm).

I don't know, RotS's whole light/dark side transition seemed pretty idiotic to me. Perhaps it was well executed with marshing down the Jedi Temple and Mustafar but it still made no sense from a personal angle.

AotC aside acting problems(and love story writing) was good enough. Plus I liked the whole political plot angle which began in TPM and dragged Republic into Clone Wars. Either way, they should have cut most of the stuff from Ep.1 and made it more about Anakin getting to be a padawan etc. Then in Ep.2 have a full blown war and love story with whole transition to Darth in Ep.3. Aside from political plot there was nothing in Ep.1 that advanced the story or characters in 2 hour time. For what it's worth Ep.1 should have been a 5 minute flashback.

I think everything that needed to be said about prequels were already said before, but I still wanted to say it.

THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
Spoiler

I'd have to go and watch those "movies" again to determine which is the better of the 3. I mean, Empire Strikes Back is pretty phenomenal as far as the original trilogy goes: It has the best lightsaber battle and Yoda's introduction along with the twist that Vader is Skywalker's father.

The Phantom Menace sucked but the Rise of the Sith had many parts where it was just "uh...this is acting?" also. I hated that Mace Windu gets killed in the most stupid way and the "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" was just dumb. In its defense, there was the Yoda - Palpatine dual.
I do have good memories of scenes in The Attack of the Clones, however, and, despite the acting from Aniken, I remember it being decent.

I'm so pissed off. I bought a sealed copy of the first CD-ROM release of Wolfenstein 3d the other day and paid the seller extra money to ensure it was shipped with a bunch of bubble wrap in a large box so as to avoid any damage happening to it during transit.

What arrived in the mail was a fucking disaster. The guy must have taken my money and spent it on crack because the game arrived with no protection whatsoever. The only packaging to speak of was a single piece of cardboard that had been bent to be roughly the shape of a box and taped closed. The game was described as shrinkwrapped in like new condition with "a small tear in the shrinkwrap on the front", when in reality it has a 2.5 inch hole in the front and a 3 or 4 inch tear on the back. The whole thing is crushed to shit and is now pretty much worthless.

I'm obviously going to be getting my money back (eBay buyer protection... yay) but it really gets on my nerves when rare collectible stuff is completely ruined by fucking retards who can't follow simple directions.

I'll take some pictures in a minute since I'll need them for the buyer protection case too. I forgot to mention that the thing is FILTHY... it looks like he kicked it around in the dirt before he mailed it. Such a disgrace.
