So when you shop at a store, I'm pretty sure it's one line for each checkout.

This one guy thought that since there are two self-serve checkouts that there was one line for both of them, and not one line for each.

I don't know, there has always been one line for each till. Would you say this guy was a line-cutter?

That depends, was everybody else standing around holding their dicks in their hands using indecision as an excuse to pretend to be polite?
If so then the guy who moved was in the right, option 2 is that he was stoned and just wanted to get out of there, option 3 is that he is a reptile that knows he can get away with shit like that because most people are pussy's and won't stand up for themselves.
I hate when people cut the line, only because I am jealous and wish I was that ignorant too sometimes. It would save me having to stand behind most people who when it comes to their turn to be served act as if they just dropped out of the sky and don't know what they are doing. When I am waiting in line I take that time to get my shit together so others don't have to wait while I fumble in my pockets for my wallet or change, even when I am baked.

Well there's 11 tills in total at the store. The self-checkout tills are #1 & #2. The other 9 tills are all single file, one line per checkout. I thought self-checkout worked the same way. Maybe I should ask the manager next time I'm there.

You are correct, but if people are standing around confused waiting for each other to make the first move then the guy was right to just move in. Or maybe I have the context all wrong, did he casually just stroll past the line and do his business? If so he's just a dick and someone should have said something, most people will avoid drama at all cost though.

Well, since there's one line per checkout (like the other tills), I looked behind, didn't see anyone behind till #2. I then proceeded to pay for my stuff, when the guy came up behind me and said "line's back that way". Then I said "There's one line per till. Look at the other tills over there" [points over at tills 3-11]

Least it didn't happen like this guy

Ha, I love how he actually dragged that guy back to the back of the line, though he should have left it at that as opposed to exposing himself as a douche by starting on the entire building but I know when you are that pissed you just lash out at anything around you. That's why you shouldn't skip in lines, you never know who just had a bad day and you may be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Looks like I was right. The self-checkout lines work just like the other lines do. One line per checkout. Looks like the guy who confronted me was a line cutter.

I asked the customer service people on how the self-checkout lines work just to be sure and they said it's one line per till just like the other ones.

Was going to cost me £60 for an AMD K5 PR166 (I'm sure I had one too, but I cannot find it) - so I bought this for £100;


Let's hope these work... If not, I can make some money back as gold scrap with any that don't. The bloke selling them seems the sort who had them on display and would not be happy if he knew I planned to shove them into motherboards and abuse them with demoscene stuff and games.

I wanted a P3 faster than 700MHz (As the 1GHz one I had was faulty and I ended up stuck with my old 700) and planned to eventually add some of the other ones, so if they DO work, this should be good value given the cost of individual ones now.

Only one CPU left to add to the collection now.

Back from the golf course. I must say my best shots were my first and my last. First shot on the first hole was a 280 yard drive nice and straight down the fairway. Last putt, I almost sunk a 30 foot putt, which was downhill and kind of went to the left a bit.

I'm resigned to the fact I will probably never have an MP6 or a WinChip because I have never seen one in real life or for sale. I am also pretty sure that they would cost too much as these things always cost a lot of money in the UK but are rapidly getting out of my range (which is a good thing if I decide to sell things myself).
