When I was about to go to sleep it was too late, but now it is too early. Still should go to sleep, though.

Apple is the 1%, idiots. Holy crap they have a ton of money and just hoard it all. Ignore that they charge twice as much as any other company for their products and sue over copyrights that aren't really theirs...they have more money than Microsoft and Google COMBINED and aren't on the shit list of this "We are the 99%" crowd.

There have always been people who say that Microsoft is an evil company (and lately Google has made the list of "evil corporations") while ignoring that Apple is worse, especially under Steve Jobs. Clinging to their iPads, protesters at Wall Street were ranting about being the "99%" and complaining how Microsoft and Bill Gates have billions of dollars through corporate greed and crap like that. Wal-Mart gets a lot of crap too, and I'll admit that Walton's children are corrupt and have ruined the spirit that Sam Walton originally had in mind when he built Wal-Mart. That doesn't change the fact that Sam Walton brought cheap necessary products to areas of America that didn't have anything before.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is about to eradicate ANOTHER disease (yes, they have eradicated more than one disease). Wal-Mart makes feeding children in rural America possible. Apple just makes playing Angry Birds easy.

Fuck Apple. Shitty overpriced products, with a really dumb userbase.

I only have an iPod Touch. That's about it. It's an older version though. 2G I think.

So how many people do you know personally who use Apple products? Because the people I know personally who use Apple products are not at all dumb. Maybe you're just seeing the bad examples on the internets.

We use Apple products at the office where I work, and I use non-Apple products at home. Apple products are very expensive, but they are high quality. The people who use them aren't dumb, but they do tend to have an excess of loyalty to the company.

Hmm... it seems new Windows logo is thoroughly hated.

Oh, and I never used Apple product. Don't really see any need in having a phone, laptop or Mac PC. Although, at one point contemplated buying iPod.

I saw something about the new Windows logo...how it isn't a flag, it has always been a WINDOW...just in flag form?

I'm not sure I like this, this logo along with the Metro UI, the simplifcation of the next Visual Studio,... It seems to me like Microsoft is trying to steal people from Apple's market but my guess is they will end up pleasing neither Apple customers or their own. I know I love Windows 7 and I feel Microsoft does a lot of things right but the path they're taking now is not really one I care for. It's almost as if they've thrown out the years of experience and evolution they had right out of the window.

The one obvious troll in the sequence of discussion. And it is NOT you. Posted Image If you still not sure, I will PM you.

Speaking of discussion, I will wait for Windows 9. For some strange reason I feel, Windows 8 might be the next Vista. None of my comps have screen touch, and Windows 7 works for me right now like a charm.

Still using Windows XP for the time being, at least, until Dennis is constructed, then I'll shift to Windows 7 because I have to.

Apple products don't appeal to me personally, my Sony Walkman can still have more songs than an iPod due to an abundance of tapes and it got me laid once, I don't need an iPhone because my Nokia brick can make calls just fine and if I want to write to somebody there's a post box at the end of the road. But the user-base probably isn't entirely stupid, as with any crowd, there's always an idiot, some retard who follows the flow (or goes against it) to make themself look good to cover up underlying insecurities they have about themselves, but most of the Apple users I know are very clever. An example would be a woman I knew that went to university to do "Art" - not sure what kind of art, something to do with magazines - and a requirement for the course was a Mac Pro, I think she's god a degree now so I don't think she's stupid at all, she also stopped talking to me a long time ago which is another indicator that she was quite intelligent.

Apple products are also of quite high quality, the memory I have to use for my next computer is DDR3 ECC UDIMM, the only place I can seem to get it in the UK is from suppliers who dub it "Mac Pro 2011 RAM" - If you're loading your machines with ECC memory, they are probably built with top-notch hardware as that stuff is NOT cheap, I'll be running 32GB of the stuff and that's gonna set me back £500 (If I import it from the USA, it'd cost more to buy here.) which is a large chunk of the cost of my system. I believe they also tend to use Xeon processors and nVidia Quadros in the Mac Pro - I still don't think the price is entirely justified, but it's not really as bigger gap as people make it out to be when you price up the equivalent Windows workstation and include the cost of Windows instead of pirating it, because remember, you are buying software as well, not only the operating system, so chuck the cost of all the equivalent software onto the cost of your Windows-equivalent.

Wait a moment.... I just noticed an iPod like logo in the post reply box, it's the insert media button... It's a conspiracy!!! Bring out the tin-foil!

When I was studying graphic design my lecturer was a massive Mac fanboy, I found it really funny. He kept showing us stupid little things like windows disappearing in an "arty" manner and such all the while saying "ha! can a pc do that?". I also had to use the Mac and I have no problems with it for the purpose I was using it for. What I don't understand is how people get so pissed off with users arrogance, ever hear the expression "Empty vessels make the most noise" ? Pc users don't harp on about the machine in the same way because they know they get the job done as good if not better than a Mac, in other words the Mac fanboys suffer from an insercurity complex about their machines or else they would just shut the fuck up.

You get people like that with the PC too though (PC and Mac are kinda the same thing now, just a different OS.) such as some people that go to LAN Parties, every one I went to had some guy with his flashy neons who did nothing but lord it over everyone how his home-build liquid cooling was better than stock heatsinks, or the GeForce Ti 4800 was his card and I was only running the MX 420 and therefore wasn't worthy of being in his Quake III Arena server. As I said, you get idiots everywhere in every crowd. There's showing off enough because you're proud of your work, but then there's overselling yourself, they're not dissimilar to middle-aged men who buy Jaguar E-Types and lord it over the guy that still has the same Ford Fiesta he had in 1985, in the latter case this is usually found to be because of erectile disfunction, as for the Gamers and Mac users, I can't be sure wether it''s the same problem or not.

I suppose in defense of the PC users I listed, they usually did build the machine themselves, but it's not always the case, sometimes they'll do the same kind of thing with their Compaq (not to be confused with a femenin product) brand system believing it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Well said, people do try to make themselves seem like superior humans by aligning themselves with products, to me its one of the highest forms of ignorance, the best bit is that these people usually are not aware of what they are doing because they are only conscious at a bit above functional level. Maybe thats a bit harsh but it does seems stupid to me.

Yep, in 95 'window' acquired trail. Then in XP it became a flag.

Yep, there is probably no need to upgrade from Vista/7 if you don't have a touchscreen. But if someone still has WinXP, then maybe there is point in waiting even longer for Win8.
