Jeff, your dinner sounded pretty damn good. This was my sister's first year fixing dinner for everyone, and she did a damn good job, did justice to Mum. I made an awesome peanut butter pie, which I nicked the recipe from Good Eats.

Merry Christmas, everybody.

Light weight. :P I had like 3 beers and 3 glasses of wine...I'm a little happy. A drink or so away from saying too much. :)

Pfft, pills amplify the effect of alcohol, so 4 beers would be a lot more with the pills.

Got my roommate Skyrim and A Christmas Story, his girlfriend Bridesmaids on Bluray, and my wife The Sims Medieval expansion and the new PotC Bluray.
I got Lego's and some other stuff from them, but really, the Lego's are the only important thing. =D
Spending Christmas with my family later today and then we're all going to visit my grandma who lives a few hours away as a surprise.
Then its cleaning up the house and getting ready for New Year's parties

So in order to get this app for my iPod Touch, I need to buy the newer iPod. I've only got the 2G model and this app requires iOS 5, which is only supported on the 3G and 4G models.

for once in my life I did not. Well, Christmas was usually a large affair. While not paid work, it is work to host, or supervice kids and other shit.
Still, this year, I did not even have to shuffle snow. We have a green Christmas, nothing to do except stuff our face, watch movies, play games and be jolly Posted Image
The one time, we did not plan out a Christmas, we have one. Irony of life. Posted Image

I got $80 from my dad (paid me back for pre-ordering Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition). From my mom I got some new bed sheets and towels.

Mums always get the best (if most boring) presents, I got a new bed cover and blanket too which is cool because Im dirt poor at the moment and wouldnt buy that stuff for myself. Its always nice to get something practical, even socks.

I got a NOOK. On of my friends from college told me to get one and then my girlfriend was telling me that I should get one so now I can report that I have one. I had to go on to the Barnes&Noble website on a computer to set up the account entirely because for some reason it didn't have a credit card (and I tried to download a free book?) set up on there and I could only do that on a real computer.
But I am excited about it because I can dig around for some free stuff and have some of the reference books I usually need on hand. And the combination of the Adobe stuff and what not, I will be able to put my readings for school on there and make them usable.

On Steam I was gifted Portal 2, Half-Life 2, and Duke Nukem Forever. Thanks to the givers, you know who you are. :) Unfortunately I initially had a bit of trouble with Steam getting Portal 2 and DNF to work, and after playing Portal 2 for one 20 minute session it has stopped working again with two separate problems.

My family gave me a Canon PowerShot SX150 IS digital camera. I picked it out myself at the store. 12x optical zoom ftw.

I've had the same sheets for 6 years, so it was time for some new ones. My uncle bought me some gloves, but I'd say they are heavy working gloves than winter gloves. They are leather. He's a rancher so I'd say they are ranching gloves.

You trying to do your own digitized sprites? Heheheheh.

In other news, I've had the same sheets for 5 years. There is a huge rip in the mattress cover sheet, so I have to tuck the actual sheet over it and the bed. I'm ghetto as fuck.

Hah, I can't sculpt for shit, or draw, or map, or paint, or compose, or 3D model. I got it mainly because I'm going to be doing three weeks of international travel over the summer which I'm looking forward to, but also because cameras rock and I often see things I'd like to snap.

Found this head morph mod for Mass Effect 2 which made Shepard look like Kelly. I'm going to check it out tomorrow.

I've always played as Shepard, now I want to play as someone else. Wish I could play as the Illusive Man, but they don't have a mod for that.

Playing as Kelly

Being away from my computer turns out to be a bad thing for me and Steam's deals...so I'm installing the client on my old man's computer because I can't login to the website store to take advantage of some of the big savings out there this week. I hate that I am addicted to this type of thing, especially since I haven't had time to play games in months...but Bulletstorm for $5? I can justify that purchase!

P. S. I fart a lot, also I love inhaling farts.

I now have my rear lamp, and it works, so with my Christmas money, I went and ordered the front one - unfortunately the chances of finding a Miller (Like the rear lamp) are almost zero so I've gone with a Lucas "Silver King" lamp this time, I was originally planning to go with Acetylene gas (Carbide), but decided against it due to the fact that such lamps rely on pressure, are less flexible and are more prone to corrosion to the point of being irreparable, as a result, the lamp I ordered is Kerosene, just like the rear one. It is the same model as the one below, though the condition is a little different.

Oh, but the Christmas fun wasn't over, my router decided it wanted to die on Christmas day, it has not been a good year for computer hardware, my computer went to hell and back, all my video capture hardware has failed and several computers and even monitors have died. Roll on 2012... Unless you are one of the people that think the world will end.

Thought of the day:

Square root of 906.01 is 30.1. It all seemed harmless. Earplugs would be good.

I've got 5 garbage bags of Pepsi bottles in my closet. I should probably take them to the bottle depot one of these days.

They sell pants for $80? Does it come with an orgasm or something? My God...

No, I think they're primarily for hipsters. (Not implying Jeff to be one.)

It was a post-Boxing Day sale. I guess they had to get rid of all their extra inventory. I don't know what a good price for pants is anyways. I normally pay about $40 or so. I went to The Bay, which is I guess a little more fancier than say Walmart which is why those pants cost $80.

The floating points are in the wrong places, I usually pay between £2 and £10 for any item of clothing... Often from charity shops or Primark, but if I can find anything in the trash then that's just fine too.

Only problem is that most of my jeans have holes in them now that can't be patched any more (there's nothing left to sew a patch to) and my t-shirts (Some are around 40 years old) are transparent.

Edit: The most expensive item of cloting I own, is the Pentium II t-shirt, which cost me around £20;

Anybody know where that came from? It seems to be well made, better than the transfare ones I've seen that just have a generic Intel logo on them.
