About that Mass Effect 3 article.

Phew, that was a close one! When quoting someone you can see everything under the spoiler. Don't want to know anything until I play it myself.

I don't think so.

The spoiler shows the hidden information that people don't want to see. I didn't see the "spoiler" until I clicked on the button.

But when you quote them, it shows the spoiler text in the editor since you are quoting them, including the spoiler. It, obviously, has some flaws.

Well, actually, since no one uses the gold standard anymore, I'm wasting a precious metal with some value that changes often.

However, if I mail you a bottle of the contents of my pee, will you pay me?

There was two separate quotes. His, and the one inside the spoiler. Ack, this is complicated. You didn't see the spoiler information until you clicked on the spoiler button.

In other news I just received my Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player. Fired up a DVD to test it's upscaling capabilities. Does a pretty damn good job. Watched Futurama and with the compression and other artifact reducer, it looked very clear. Almost HD. I almost thought it was HD. It also has some setting on there which tries to bring out the detail caused by the softness when upscaling. I was able to notice more lines and such on someone's face (eg. detail you get from HD movies).

The detail that wasn't in the video to begin with? Yeah, right.

This morning I had a cup of coffee to wake up so I could study for my test today (eta 3.2 hours) and when I finished it off, I thought "Needs whiskey"...Irish Coffee, is there any better way to start the day? I think not.

I start the day off with a Pepsi.

I thought about soda but decided against the sugar which rots the teeth. Of course, coffee makes your teeth yellow, your breath smell, and you pee like a horse. However, Irish Coffee would just make me happy for an hour or so which, in hindsight, wouldn't have helped me study for this test.

DanM, paying money for maps is in no way defensible. Paying for mods isn't even defensible, in my opinion...

To shave, or not to shave, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler of the face to suffer
The blades and edges of an unsharp razor,
Or to grow out a beard to show a stuble,
And by doing so look bad? To grow, to wait,
No more; and by to wait to grow a beard
The cold air, and the blows of natural shocks
That flesh needs hair for: 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To grow, to wait;

Yeah, it was an expansion pack. Though the Atomic Edition was released for people who didn't own the game at all.

I agree. I dunno how much it ran for, but it's definitely worth a little bit more than Ultimate Doom.

Sounds good.

Just wanted to say one of my pet peeves is being called a kid by someone in their 40s. Damn, you're considered a kid if you're younger than 18. Someone who is almost 28 is well into adulthood.

Thing is, you think you have arrived when you are 18 or even 20 but when you get to thirty and older you realise how little you understood things and Im sure the same applies to 60 year olds looking at 30 year olds it all relative to your perspective, your ego tells you that you know whats going on in general, its only when looking back that you realise that in fact you did not. Some are more aware than others no doubt but as a 30 year old I see 20 year olds as kids and 16 year olds as mere children.

I cant believe the shit I used to get up to as a teenager not to mention the shite music I listened to, listen to your parent kids they probably do know better. I enjoy the cynicism that grows with age, though I could be wrong as people who are older than me call me a grumpy old bastard, and there are some smart streetwise kids out there.

Here's how I see it. Anyone under 18 is technically still a child because they are minors. Anyone 18-25 I would classify as a young adult. Anyone over 25 is an adult.

Anyone who calls someone a young kid who is not old enough (eg. 28 vs 45 or so) to be their parents is just silly. I would say anyone who has a 25-30 year difference between me could be considered my parent. Someone in their 40s, well, unless they were a teen mother, which most normal people usually have kids around 25-30 or so because that's usually a good age to be financially responsible instead of paying for childcare while earning minimum wage flipping burgers at McDonalds. Okay that was a bad joke.

To be fair, being 12-18 years older is old enough to be someone's parent.

When you're 12 you can't really work. Like I mentioned, there's also the thing of paying for the kids things like clothes, food and such. I don't think a teenager would able to do that on minimum wage. Not to mention they have to support themselves too.

I'm just saying, at 12 you can sire a child. It isn't recommended, but the parts work and people have been dumb enough to not know how to keep the part in the pants.

By law, being 18 doesn't make you an adult. You don't get the most of your rights and perks of being an adult until you're well into your 20's.

Depends which country you're from. In Canada, legal age is 18-19, with most provinces being 19. You can vote at 18, but if you want to buy any booze in say, Ontario, you need to be 19.
