Maybe she was just looking out for other animals. I mean, outside the Cheetos can at least be picked up by birds or squirrels or something (I have a difficult time imagining they'd just sit there forever). But if they're left on the floor of a train, they have little chance of serving any purpose at all, other than being swept into a wastebin.

I applaud your perception then, because not even I see what I did there :)

You slipped in a use of the word 'forever' and this is a Duke Nukem Forever forum :)

It wasn't intended. You are seeing things, Micky C. Maybe it is time for you annual Freudian examination.

And it's not a DNF forum. It's subforum on a Duke Nukem fan site.

Got my i7 2600K cranked up to 4.2 GHz w/TurboBoost. Only running around 53 C max.

My FSX performance went up another 15 FPS because of that.

About 2 weeks ago, I was running down the hallway in my house, and I suddenly stopped because I was afraid I was about to run into a trip mine...

I stand at the train station and think about jumping across the track just as the train arrives...I also think about jumping over railings and landing on stairs below. But, your specificity in choice...well, you are nuts. Also, you shouldn't run in the house. :)

Had a really weird day at work. Wasn't bad or anything, it was good. Anyways, couple things. Normally customers never call me by my first name, and I usually don't hear customers come up to me and say I'm doing a really good job. I must really be if they're saying it.

I looked in the mirror this morning and thought "Damn, I'm looking good" Maybe those pushups and crunches are paying off.

My Panasonic G25 plasma's warranty runs out on July 5th. Here's hoping it lasts until OLED's become cheap to buy. Plasmas are really expensive to repair, unlike LCDs.

Maybe you were drunk and somebody pasted a picture of Duke Nukem on your mirror.

Oh, and I'm compressing my 90 GB FSX folder so it can fit on my SSD. Heard SSD's help with blurred textures (they don't load fast enough on a regular hard drive, so blurring and jagged edges occurs).

The Critic

I had a fellow as my guest,
Not knowing he was such a pest,
And gave him just my usual fare;
He ate his fill of what was there,

And for desert my best things swallow'd,
Soon as his meal was o'er, what follow'd?
Led by the Deuce, to a neighbour he went,
And talk'd of my food to his heart's content:
"The soup might surely have had more spice,
The meat was ill-brown'd, and the wine wasn't nice."
A thousand curses alight on his head!
'Tis a critic, I vow! Let the dog be struck dead!

Had this "ghosting issue" on my new monitors. However, it appears the monitors were set to the wrong color space. For example, the default was RGB, I needed to set it to YBCBR. No more ghosting.

I got my second kidney stone in a month yesterday. It honestly hurt more than anything else I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing--I'm talking about lying on the bathroom floor in the fetal position screaming kind of pain here. The first one I got didn't hurt nearly as badly so I thought I was tough or something when I read about how much they tended to hurt other people, but no, these fuckers are the real deal.

They pumped me full of demerol and something else in the ER and that stopped the pain but it started up again tonight. I've taken something like 6 percocet so far and it's barely putting a dent in it. I really hope it starts hurting less soon and that I can get some sleep. :)

OUCH! I feel so sorry for you dude. My sister had kidney stones once and even though she had the highest pain threshold of pain of anyone I know, she said it hurt like absolute hell. GB said on Twitter that it was "worst pain ever."

Did you not drink enough water or something? I was told that if you don't drink enough of it your kidney's aren't moist enough and cause the stones. It that true?

Did you have to have and IV at ER? For the record I fucking detest needles.

Good luck dude.

Yeah, I had to have an IV. They actually had to stick me SIX TIMES because I was dehydrated as hell by the time they actually went to run it and they couldn't get it to thread into my vein. Two sticks in each arm at the elbow and one stick in each wrist before they could get it run. One of their attempts to place the IV actually hurt more than the damn stone for a brief second, which I really was not expecting. I actually have bruising from the IV attempts that's so dark at this point that it looks like someone broke a pen open and poured the ink all over my arm.

Oh, and last night was hell. It started hurting just as bad as it did before I went to the hospital the night before and I had to take more pills at about 5 or 6 in the morning... I was really starting to think they weren't going to work at all until they apparently kicked in and I passed out from exhaustion afterward.

This thing fucking sucks. :)
