Ouch! I bet that was annoying. Was he just ranting or trying to rub it in?
He doesn't sound nice or funny if he does things like that.

I have totally forgotten all about that 'New York Metal ll' record we're on. Here's a link to the web page with the track listing and back and front cover art. What a blast from the past and I'm gonna find out if any of the guys from the band still have it. I can't believe that info is still out there on this.

I could probably RAID them up and then all my stuff would load like that. *snaps fingers*

I guess, but imagine the analysts reading the thread, and see your original post with a green one, they would analyse this phenomena - and post

Related: I have noticed a drastic drop of boob posting over the years here. Now, I'm not really complaining, just noticing.

I decided to turn Troy into a drinking game:
Anytime the movie is either a crappy movie or wrong according to (either Greek or Roman) myth, I drink. 45 minutes in and I am 3 beers down and kind of happy...but this movies sucks.

Are you watching the theatrical version or the extended one? Not that they differ that much, but the extended's tone is more brutal and less heroic, I'd say.
And I liked Troy either way.
Ordered Kingdom Of Heaven. Its director's cut is a vast improvement over theatrical one, as they say.

I remember when I was really young and watched the matrix for the first time it played on TV. I heard it was good, so I stayed up extra late to try and watch the whole thing, but I became really tired and fell asleep, with the last thing I remember being the main characters in a white room getting all these weapons. When I saw the full thing a few years later, I realized that not only did I barely miss out on the ending of the movie, I also missed out on the best part. So close...

I don't know which version it was...I destroyed the disk with a hammer after watching it. If you read the Iliad, the Odyssey, and the Aeneid, you would also probably want to destroy the disk. They took the best parts of those stories and removed them, inserted their own crappy ideas (I'll pretend they didn't intentionally make it political/anti-religious), and used the least great parts of the stories; then they had crappy filming and costumes...it was crap, utter and complete crap.
The movie was supposed to be heroic, epic, violent, and a conflict between living to old age without a name or facing destiny/fate with courage. It should have shown the conflict of the will of the gods with the minds of mortals; the manipulation of the gods over the battlefield; the Iliad was performed to be an epic film...but somehow they managed to ruin it.
I am honestly surprised Troy fell in the end; but since Paris didn't even die (the son of bitch wife stealing coward), they might as well not have had Troy be sacked in the end.

It wouldn't matter to me. Script doesn't need to be perfect intepretation of the source. It can be really different for all I care.

It was supposed to be a hollywood film to make a quick buck
