But that's still like teasing a starving dog with a T-bone.

Are protests against the government held in private?

Also the isn't a government run or administered place, it's a private one. The analogy is inapplicable. If you want to have a bunch of meta discussion about administration do it elsewhere.

gov·ern·ment

1.
the governing body of a nation, state, or community.

I'm sorry dude but this isn't a free government, just a lenient one!

You clearly lack the ability to admit when you are wrong and it leads to problems.

The correct response is:

"Yes Rob, you were correct in referring to the moderators as a governing body."

You clearly lack the ability to not be obtuse.

This isn't "the government", it's a private entity which is not a democracy and doesn't have to treat you nicely.

Is the governor on a throttle, the wrong terminology because a throttle is not democratic?
I used the word properly, you didn't get it. It's done/over.

I really have no idea why you dislike me Lunick.
I didn't leave because TX unlocked the thread and showed that atleast at the highest level is a person with a clear mind and doesn't abuse his power.

Blackwell locks the thread - TX unlocks it - Blackwell proceeds to participate in the thread. I'm a joke.

*Edit - That originally said "It's a joke" ... Blackwell modifying my post. - Your power should be removed, you're a witty moderator.

I was told I was incorrect about something.
It was false to accuse me about being incorrect because I was actually correct, it's called defending yourself. Actually, the defense of truth.

English is my first language, how about you? I'm being chastised for using a word properly.

And seriously blackwell, don't modify my posts.

You're all being childish so downvotes all around! That'll learn ya...

EDIT: Dang...reached my downvote quota for the day (ironically, soon as I reached Mblackwell's post). Which is strange, I only made 5 and I haven't downvoted anybody in days and even then only once. I should have quite a bit saved up.

I believe you can only do like 5 downvotes a day compared to upvotes which I'm not sure there is a limit.

It prevents childish abuse of the reputation system

Then why does it get taken seriously enough to lock threads/ban users?
When and who makes the choice of whether to take something seriously or not?

Next time I use a word you don't understand. Look it up, the internet is useful.

Could ask the same of you. Just earlier today you said you were leaving Duke4.net. Was the reopening of my stupid little thread really the only contingency for your return? Or did you go on a bender again?

Maybe you should step away and play some Shadow Warrior. I did earlier today. It was fun blowing ninjas into teeny tiny gibs with a nuclear warhead. Justa like Pearl Harba!

My reason for leaving was indeed the event of the thread being locked, should be evident.
That ruling was reversed therefore my actions were also reversed.

You don't like logic?
No grasp for the obvious? If you're going to attempt being a smartass, be good at it.

If somebody is charged with a crime, sent to jail and then are acquitted, do they then stay in jail?
I'm on a bender of correcting retardism, today has seen an exceptionally high amount.

I'm surprised this line doesn't throw you into a politically correct fit, Orientals are being stereotyped oh noes!
Perhaps the people who died in Pearl Harbor? - I'm shocked at such blatant mockery for wartime casualties!
Maybe pearls didn't want a harbour named after them? How dare they not be given a voice! Much trigger!

Moderators are in place to enforce the rules of a given forum. They do not rule over you or me, only over our posts.
Government(s), depending what type, as per Oxford World English Dictionary defines it as: The system by which a state or community is governed; community in turn is defined as: 'A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common'

You and I have nothing in common. I would not even recognize you on a street, we've never met. I think we both like SW?

Finally, I hate English. It is one difficult language to master. But, I am finally biting the bullet and am going back to U of T , to upgrade my written skills. Posted Image

There's really nothing here for me to respond to.. unless you'd like the definition of "common" explained to you.

Late night getting home. Some accident in the core kept the C-Train from entering it. Idling for an hour and a half isn't my idea of fun. One guy attempted to get off the train while it was in between stations, and he almost got arrested.

Not as bad as the time the entire south line was shut down for 4 hours, because some guy decided to kill himself in the City Hall tunnel. I was on the train for 3 out of those 4 hours. I still remember this guy going psychotic with the train operator.

In English the word common can have different definitions. Even if you pick one, I turn could derail it, simply because my understanding of common is such and such and be right as well.

Things we have in common, common being used to describe similarities:

We both have hair
We are both male
We both have skin
We both speak a language
We both like build engine games
We both are users of Duke4, a build engine game related website. Shadow Warrior and Duke3d have similar creators and engine platform.

Things we don't have in common:

I'm a native born Canadian.

Either you are ignorant as to the origin of the line (a game that already crosses the line twice with its rampant kung-fu movie parody schtick), or you are yourself being the dense smart-ass you heretofore accused me of being.

Sorry, Mr. Logician. Your post stated "Have fun running duke4 into the ground." The surrounding posts also implied you had a fundamental issue with how the website was governed. Thus I fail to see how unlocking the thread solves this fundamental issue. No moderators were fired nor were the rules changed to suit your microcosmic ideology. Indeed, absent context, your post gives the impression of a child throwing a temper-tantrum, taking his balls and going home.
