as long as you get a gearbox / transmission upgrade. Too much power for the oem one.

Contrary to the popular belief you buy, modern cars are much safer than 70´s muscle cars. Even that tiny white car that Hank said liking must be a lot safer than a 70´s Mustang or a Camaro. Your picture is of a 1ton car crashing head on against a 45tons truck, they probably were driving over 50 miles each. There´s no way your muscle car would have survived that. Yet, i prefer old cars too, they had charm.

Yup. If you ever played GTA, you know what happens when you drive a truck over a car.

It's a pretty well known fact that older cars (pre mid 70s when they actually started developing safety features beyond lap belts and safety glass) are less safe than newer cars. No crumple zones, no airbags, poor restraint devices, etc.

side note: the smartcar had a 3 star crash test rating until 2013. Been bouncing between 3 and 4 star since.

Hey, those old cars were built like tanks! Get in an accident and your car will barely have a scratch!

Of course you'll be fuckin dead.

Apparently a successor to Xargon is being made by the creator's son on the Unreal Engine as a FPS http://www.classicdo...hp?p=6354#p6354

Too bad Xargon sucks, and the control is stiffer than a priest in a playground.

If you are worried driving and getting hit, get a Hummer. :D

If you are worried being run over by a truck, stay at home, on the second floor at least.

There is no safe place anywhere with idiot drivers roaming the streets.

And for 2015 it's a four star

Means very little.

smart car vs. motor bike:

hummer vs. bus

bottom line: doesn't matter what you drive, there's always some reckless asshole out there using their vehicle as a high speed missile. Wrong place, wrong time can be fatal through no fault of your own. Even if you're driving around in a military armored vehicle.

Quake 2 ad

Oh my god I remember this advert, I liked it a lot. I was really young when I saw it and I had no idea what any of the raw meat was so it was a really weird and striking page for me at the time. I think I remember asking my dad about the meat and then wanting to eat it raw.
I was already hyped about Quake 2, so yeah.

Commander Keen is an excellent series, rivaling Nintendo or Sega when it's at it's best.

DN2 is okay, DN1 sucks.

I took a subscription to a dating site, found nobody who was really worth writing to... Can't write to most of them even if I did as they don't allow messages from bald, smoking, heavy metal listening, under 35, poor, unemployed guys so I'm well and truly out of the running on that. Basically you must meet the criteria here. I wouldn't want anything to do with women like that anyway though, so the contact filter they use has it's positive side I guess.

Cancelled my subscription as the month was up, as I go through the lengthy process of saying why, what I plan to do now and other crap to cancel it my profile gets a metric tonne of activity from profiles that aren't like the ones above, seemingly very new profiles too... Much as this is generally regarded as a reputable site I can't help but be suspicious of this, especially given I had only about five hits in the whole month, none of which were from girls I wrote to I might add and three of which were women much older than I am*. Either way, I hit cancel anyway.

Luckily I have a sense of humor so I just laughed at this incident. I guess now I'll have to go back to getting smacked in the face around the few bars/clubs I'm not banned out of yet and the city in general.

* And before you say anything, that's not a serious problem if they are within the scope of the local bus service and don't want anything serious to develop, but it's not really what I'm after.

Big boys are dominating games, not killing it. Just like in the movie and music industries. If you want to make a profit, you need to study a bit how business works, make a boring business plan and work the plan. One can complain all one wants, things will not change. You either get the finances or produce a unique game people want to play, and then get a good distributor at least. Being a proud indie is great, but if you have a super game, swallow the pride and cash in, and let those with finances share the profits a bit. Driving a sports car ain't bad nor a house with a private pool, OK so you did not do it all by yourself, so what. :D
