Alright, so I'm pissed off. Today I had replaced the alternator in my car, then I damaged the belt because of me not knowing my own strength. I had over tightened the automatic tensioner, which rubbed the pulley against the engine block, and then proceeded to make the belt slip. As a mechanic, I should know better.

I also just realized that I installed the tensioner backwards.

That's what happens when you don't get much sleep.

It's possible I may upload the actual game to the net later, but for now I leave you with the notice that it inevitably crashed. I know I have a shot of him on MSN somewhere talking about the game, but I think that's on an old IDE drive that I don't have hooked up right now. I also seem to think I had video from a later snapshot of the game where he was testing vehicles and a 3D model of Amy Rose who was going to follow the player around or some shit.

It's strange how often that formation appears in both nature and man-made structures.

http://en.wikipedia....relation_theory goes part way into it, but there are other monolithic / megalithic structures that are in this order. Funny how things happen sometimes, maybe the people who built some of them did so based on that layout - probably out of respect for the gods or something - otherwise, as with natural structures, it's probably just a coincidence.

Just bought a pirated copy of DN3D for Mega Drive for three bucks, and already I want my money back. Without save states or Game Genie, this shit is unplayable. One of the worst games I've ever played. And I enjoyed Doom for Snes!

Step 1, buy an EverDrive. Step 2, play nearly any game you want.

I still usually buy legit versions of games I like, but it's more convenient to have them on one cartridge and there are a whole host of bootleg and homebrew things to mess with that you wouldn't get on cartridges otherwise. Betas are loads more fun on the real console as you can't save state your way out of trouble and sometimes they even behave a little differently. Also, scene rulz. You can put Master System or 32X games on the ED too and you also don't wear out the original cartridges and their packaging; I can, for example, keep my sealed ones sealed and not have to buy another copy just to play them. Of course you can circumvent regional lockout with a bit of time in a hex editor - or just apply your favorite GameShark codes permanently (Though the ED has one built in anyway).

Now, if only I could get the SNES version too.

I'd love to buy 32x to play Doom on it, it's one of my favorite ports of the game. Too bad, I also need to buy Genesis to match the region, and in total, the price is just too much for me. Getting Knuckles Chaotix would also be nice, but the price for cartridge alone is ridiculous.

I originally bought PAL Snes to play Doom, but later found out that PAL version of Doom is rare, so it took me three years just to buy a cartridge for a tolerable price. It was worth it, I gotta say. This port is so weird, I can't help but love it.
