eh kinda useless tip but my LCD 34" TV was having trouble turning on after being turned off for awhile, so i figured it was a cold boot problem, cracked out the hair dryer heated up the back plugged it in and it worked instantly, this may have applications for other appliances, i know you can bake things but this might be more feasible.

just a couple of light passes, i got a purple band across the top that went away thankfully so not much heat was needed.
