No idea how helpful this could be or how many people are interested to ever start making maps for Manhattan Project, no time on my side to start tinkering with this right now, but hopefully someone may find it handy
So, I recently finished ArenA, including the 4 secret locations. It was when I started that I realized this isn't the usual set of episodes, i.e., the familiar kind letting you go to the end while taking care of enemies. Location types b and d often required great familiarity with the game's physics, and at times, thinking outside the box (mostly for type d),
I was writing notes in order to remember my progress, first and foremost since you don't automatically go from one map to the next as usual. The contents written here are based on these notes.
Spoiler
I've used spoiler tags on purpose. In case anybody possibly playing ArenA is reading this, if you haven't yet completed enough of this mod, you might really want to give what's left a try for yourself.
Spoiler
If I'm not wrong, I originally considered finishing type a locations, then type b and so on; At least until realizing it was probably better for me to change the location type more often. So, I first finished a01-a04, then b01-04 and afterwards, a05. I recall having one crash in a05 upon an attempt to use weapon 7; No idea why. I could otherwise manage, and I don't recall having another such crash later.
These were followed by c01-04, and then, d01-04. I remember getting stuck in c01, as it looked difficult to me; Even after consulting a video of yours, DNV. At the end, my way was to collect enough health and then finish. For d02, I was initially forcing myself to wait for the right time for the moving green cubes, instead of simply attaching to them from the side.
I later finished a06, then b05-06 and then c05-06. d07 was completed afterwards, and then, d05-d06. The follow-ups were b07 (partially feeling like a type d map at some point), c07 and d07 (small in size but tricky).
Out of a-d08, c08 was repeatedly restarting after beating the boss for an unknown reason. a09 was an unusual one; I tended to prefer staying on the right and using forcefields. I then completed b-d09. d09 was clearly a nice one!
I eventually reached the last non-secret locations for me, a10-d10. b10 didn't necessarily feel more difficult from all preceding type b levels, probably thanks to the practice I had at this point; But practice was still required for b10 as well. c10 was theoretically easy if you knew what to do, except for one small catch.
d10 was indeed quite different. So far, from what I recall, I only used the checkpoints supplied in the levels, and never saved a game from the console. Even in d10 I was trying this for the challenge. Only at a later point I decided to resort to it, and it turned out to be more-or-less required (unless someone got a trick up one's sleeve). In theory, I think that I could finish d10 without mid-level saving if there were a single checkpoint in the relevant area. Problem is, of course, that this could be a potential spoiler.
I then finished with the 4 secret levels. As expected, the type d one felt relatively easy at this point. I guess that I should had played it earlier - or maybe not.
There's one main question left. I found another level, and I don't even know if it should be possible to properly beat it.
To summarize, very great work on ArenA (along with the other modifications, of course)!
ArenA is a really difficult mod.
If I got it right, at the end of the text you are talking about the level of type E. Yes, you can beat it. It is very short.
P.S. Every time you hold down the attack button on the seventh weapon, the game will crash.

Yeah, this is the level in question. Thanks for confirming it's beatable. I don't know if it's just a local glitch or done on purpose, but I seem to get nothing upon collecting pipebombs or a jetpack.

This must explain the crash I had. I've just reproduced it in a10 as a test. Thanks again for confirming.

Just recorded a 100% walkthrough of Deep Freeze mod's main storyline. There are 12 new videos in total. All are placed in the Deep Freeze playlist, which also contains the walkthrough of the alpha levels and all promo videos. PLAYLIST LINK
Hey, guys.
I'm glad to present to you DNV Voice 2.0 mod for Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project.
In November 2019, the first version of the mod was released. It contained Russian and English voiceovers of Duke. The other characters' lines once voiced by FARGUS were also added to the Russian version.
In version 2.0, Duke was again completely re-voiced by me in both languages.
Now the sound quality is much better than it was in the first version of the mod. I hope you like it.
