Quick question

I didn't know where else to go to ask for help with this problem so here goes... I just installed the eduke 32 and the hrp pack and it works; except for the fact that the menu text and the in game hud show up as grey blurbs. Is this common? Is it fixable?
System:
i7 920
hd 5970
asus p6x58d motherboard

Well he called them grey blurbs, which is original. So at least he's a somewhat refreshing idiot.

Welcome to the forums but you really need to have a quick look around before you make a thread like this. You asked if it was common, and 30 seconds worth of glancing at the screen and 2 button clicks would have revealed that it was (to some degree).
