Jhect , it's because:

Jace hall is a game developer , he created monolith
with very little movie/show/film skills
but he's getting better and he's doing just fine (entertainment , fun)
he's a friend of 3DR and other developers
and he probably is also a shacker but i have no idea really , those guys probably know eachother on there , the most loyalest DN fans are on shacknews and the site was created by the guy who is now a marketing manager at gearbox - you seen him 100 times mostly with pitchford(atleast with duke news)
Jace hall show actually bombarded into the media because of the very first DNF reveal , it was Jace hall's videos is ALL we got from 2007 to 2010.

Everything we got from DNF until Pax , except the 2007 trailer , is Jace hall videos , some unreleased some hidden or not spotted , some found but kept down by fans and then released as fake trailers months later.

WIth jace halls current format no wonder it's like this , and shaky cam video is .... WHAT ACTUALLY MAKES IT INTERESTING

You see , how annoying it is , .... it's actually GOOD , because great things always have to be kept low profile and only the little snippets and shaky cam footage are leaked to the web , that's the methodology that's probably used , AND not just this , he's definitely avoiding a lot of spoilers , so that's the point , it wants to make people more hungry looking for better footage , it teases and kind of irritates people for more without giving much of the actual game away.

yea stewox i did read a little about him in some comments (why are people writing about him in comments?) what you just wrote is exacly the same that i know about him hehe. and yea the show actually did have a little bit a duke that means very much to us. it has 5 seconds of a map editor. just what we wanted right? that is basicly the only thing that those few seconds gave us that we wanted to see. i mean who wants to see a pigcop getting shot to peaces by a shotgun...

I agree. I think the show sucks fucking dick. It's annoying, unfunny, stupid, and uninteresting. I don't have anything against Jace Hall personally, but I do hate his show, and he is after all responsible for the show, so yeah. I think his insertion of DNF clips into the show is insulting because of the way he does it, and also because he's possibly using outdated footage from his 2008 3D Realms visit. I'm reluctant to post the clips on Duke4.net every time he does an episode, but I know a lot of people like to see new footage even if it's old and the quality sucks. However, from now on, I'm only going to use Youtube extractions. No more embedding entire episodes--I know he does this because he knows he'll get extra views when we post it, but it's not happening again.

Actually we all knew about the editor "Duke's enormous tool" and even George Broussard confirmed that it was going to be shipped with it. But now that GBX owns the IP, there's been some worrying comments about how hard it would be legally to release the game with the editor (I mean, WTF?????)

I'm already in touch with 2K and Gearbox, and at this point I could care less about contact with GB (who is really the only person behind 3D Realms now that Scott is focused on Radar Group).

There's also a good chance I might visit 2K's HQ this Christmas to preview to the demo for the site.

I never actually cared about the show, the only 2 times i watched it was back in 2008 when he released some gameplay of DNF, none of the gameplay of DNF was known about that moment, atleast not of the latest engine change
