What was your favorite level in Duke Nukem 3d? I always enjoyed Hollywood Holocaust! That map was so big and there was so much to explore in it! I could play it for hours!

My favorite Duke 3D level would be Hotel Hell. I thought that the design was really cool, and I loved the battlelord battle outside the Hotel. :)

My favourite level:

Flood Zone... I've always loved the level design, atmosphere (a flooded city where you have to dive underwater in apartments and get on stairs to the rooftops etc... and then holes in the rocks on the other side of the valley opening like a door... with a battlelord and two assault commanders in it... one to each side of the battlelord. Very challenging!)

The other favourites, in no particular order.

Dark Side... I'm in love with that place near the end where TONS of kamikaze UFOs come out of that cilindrial room high in the sky, and after disabling the forcefield a battelord appearing... and then at the end in the monolith... that background "music" is scary there)

Babe Land... the first part is very mediocre, but the ship/castle fight at the end is very fun and challenging, with two battlelords... it's a cliché, but executed in an original way!

L.A. Rumble... I love the path you have to follow in that level... you start at the bottom and by the end of the level you're balancing high in the sky going from skycraper room to scycraper room, next to the big TV screen, etc... with kamikaze UFOs and commanders "bothering" you... and some cool secrets in this level oo! My apoligies for absence of battlelord fight!!!

Occupied Territory... you fight two battlelords at the same time in this level... TWICE. On harder skill levels you fight three of them, even. It's the hardest level of the game, and not only because of the battlelords... this level is the reason why I didn't manage to finish Lunar Apocalypse on the hardest skill level when I was young B) Now I know you can blow up bodies to prevent the resurrection of enemies I might be able to do it B)

Of course there are other levels that for me stand above the rest too like Tier Drops, Hotel Hell, The Abyss, Bank Roll, ...

Yes, and the one inside the hotel too :) And it's also fun when you destroy the fire extinguishers on the second floor so you can go outside, it's a cool fight too there, and you can pick up atomic health.

Funny I think that's one of the smallest levels actually B) Compare that to Dark Side or something.

My favorites are:
1- Dark Side - the carts, the moon, the monolith, the sentry drones.
2- L.A.Rumble - the skyscrapers, the helicopter, the sentry drones :) .
3- Freeway- the freeway, the buildings, the BattleLords, the RPV's.
4- Launch Facility and Area 51 - the rockets, not much else.
5- Stadium- the Blimp, the beating on the Cycloid guy. Most fun boss fight.

The level I play the most is Holywood Holocaust. I just like it. Dunno why but...

I've always enjoyed most of the levels.... I really like Hotel Hell because I believe thats where you find Indy and get to blow him up... I also love the Stadium level... esspecially the part where you shoot the blimp.. I love to see all those goodies come falling down towards me... ;)

And I dont know if this counts.. but I always enjoy the \Zoo.map level... I like to go into the midle and type, "DNUNLOCK" and see how long I survive :)

You know... I should try that. :)

My favorite level would have to be "Going postal". That map had so much to it, the mail hideout, the workings, the blown up places, the cool "Defend the base" sequence, among other things.

Its pretty fun... I ussually retreat instantly to the armory and hide out there trying to take them out from the hallway.... then the weapons run out and I come out kicking.... it doesn't ussually end well... ;)

And isn't the, "Going postal" mission on the plutonium pack??? I wasted a lot of Duke3D files trying to get that to work, lucky I made backups... it says it requires the original disk to upgrade from version 1.3-1.5 ?? :)

Also I have The newest HRP packet... Can you still update to plutonium pack with that?

Yes you can. :)

Thank God... ...uh... how do you upgrade?

I have the Plutonium pack upgrade on a disk... but the only way to get it to work is too either Have the plutonim pack disk itself(For version 1.3) or have at least version 1.4 so you can upgrade to 1.5.... now I had both version 1.3... (from a pc gamer disk) and 1.4 (which was upgraded from the HRP pack) I tried in both versions.. ...and had to erase them from my computer... :)

And to keep this post legit one level I really like is the final battle with the cycloid emperor... something about having a football field on top of a building is really cool. (that, and seeing duke kick its eyeball right out of its skull) ;)

Ironic how the best level in many eyes is the very first level!
Its my favorite too, just because its the only level i was able to memorize everything in...
And again the 2nd favorite being red light district the 2nd level, looks like they put the best up first for a great impression.

I didnt hear anybody mention it but I liked the space station parts aswell..
and my all time favorites: Hotel Hell & Raw Meat

EDIT: And I probably wouldnt even have remembered unless seen it typed. But I do recall Flood Zone being another awesome level.
BTW i played all these levels on N64 version of duke nukem. Ive tried every version and I have to say N64 version remains my favorite. The music was best. They had dual subs, a way better looking rocket launcher, grenade launcher.. they had alot of stuff they took out of atomic... then again it didnt have the expansion :)

My favourite level i dont think has been mentioned yet... believe it or not, my favourite level would be.... Farenhight [apologies for bad spelling]
yes this level would definately be my favourite. It might sound a bit WTF but its definately my favourite level

I cant remember which level it was, but it was the one where i think you start underwater, then if you go up, there is hardly nothing... i got really confused on this level and it took me a while to pass this level.. therefore its my 2nd favourite level

THIS IS MY FIRST POST WOOHOO
