Can he play already? I am sure the files for the retail version won't be unlocked any sooner on Steam than the download release... xD

The box does look great without douche nukem! :(

Although this seems to be Duke's big package, right? Not the Balls of steel edition.

Hm, Duke's Big Package includes health boost, big heads, 5 costumes, and a FAC code. Also, the guy says that there's development info from 1997 onwards in the artbook. He could have meant "...development, [which was] since 1997" though, I'm not sure.

Info maybe. But no art. Which is sad for an ART BOOK. I hope the video skimmed most of the pages and we just missed a whole lot. There better be more than like 2 pages of retro art.

Those screens have higher resolution textures than the demo. Hopefully the full game will look the same, and that those aren't just Photoshopped bullshots.

Fun fact: Everything about Octobrains scared the shit out of me as a kid; especially all the sounds they make. These fuckers look just as menacing, can't wait to blow it out their ass.

Man, the colors and contrast of this screenshot totally look enhanced in photoshop.
Compare the punk contrast in this screenshot to the one you get in the demo and you will realize that they look completely different.
If this is not enhanced in photoshop then it's actually a huge improvement over the demo.
That vortex is almost burning my retina which is a GOOD THING, while in the demo it looked like it was december...

Those screenshots look amazing, everything looks way better then the demo, and they seem to have fixed that horrible looking fire effect.
I hope these are real.

Edit: I don't think it's shopped the crashed drop ship is in a different position to the demo.

Also, there is no distance blurring and colour tinting. I like the blast craters on the ground, though.

Jon St. John posted on NUKEM DAVE's facebook about that; it's some readings he did for a chinese text editor. And yeah, it's old.

Well, they are big screenshots scaled down, definitely sharpened and some color enhancement.

The textures look much higher resolution though...you can't really photoshop that....unless you spent WEEKS on it.

What's sad is if those screens are photoshopped, they knew the game could've been improved visually yet spent that time making fake pictures.

Well, I am pretty sure it took them just a few minutes - hours to fake those pics if they did that. Improving the game to match those screens for real would have probably taken days or weeks.
Though, it's still very possible that those screens weren't shopped and that's how the final game looks like.

Obviously no offense intended, but out of curiosity what did you do to get your name into the credits? Was it because you were a community leader and moderator at the 3D Realms forums, maybe your work on eduke32, or some combination of those?

Just saw the screenshots on the previous page. That's pretty cheap, considering how the actual game doesn't look like that at all.
