Maybe they called it Untitled Piranha Demo because it'd be less suspicious than Untitled Gearbox Demo? Anyway we must be so close to actually getting our hands on the game it's crazy!

I love this sort of speculation, but this could just be a beta for network testing etc. and not related to the actual demo or game whatsoever.

No. That probably is just a flag for any Steam game for whether it includes any SDK when you purchase the game or not. Even games that don't have SDK's. Obviously it would say "not owned by default" if it never had one.

Great man, I was just about to make some looping gifs where only hollywood holocaust can be seen.
The first thing that struck me in the video was the fact that it totally looks like a fucking carbon copy of the old one lol...
They even used some textures that look identical to the original ones, just higher res!
In all respects, I believe this map represents 3drealms's answer to duke4.net's hrp!

Why not? It's not like they made the map a paintball arena instead of what it was.
If you look closely, you will see it's the exact real life area that it was before just that in the mean time since duke was there, it seems some street punks might have turned it into a ghetto where they also played paintball too...
The old walls are stained with paint from paintball wars, that's all.

That was a cool video. Hope there's more multiplayer maps than those three (?) that were shown. I'm still disappointed that only Duke appears as a playable character and not some of the aliens (or EDF soldiers and babes). I guess they wanted to save time on animating and modelling all new assets specifically for multiplayer so at least we have customization for Duke.

But still. Looks enjoyable enough!
