[Luke Nukem]

Hey guys. First post here on these forums.

I wanted to start off by asking if anyone has ever heard of this urban legend surrounding Duke Nukem 3D:

When I was at school, there was an urban legend surrounding Duke Nukem 3D. A friend of mine once claimed that someone told him there was a secret cheat in the game.

This cheat was “DNLIPSTICK”. If you typed it in correctly while in the Red Light District strip club area, Duke would allegedly be able to have sex with one of the strippers.

Try as I might, I wasn’t ever able to get this code to work, despite trying different ways of typing it in. Reckon it was just a prank.

BTW, I was the one who commented on that list. I know it isn't true (can't wait for someone here to say "it is true!"), but I just wanted to see if anyone's heard of it before.

But I know I wanted the "It’s Possible to Revive Aeris in Final Fantasy VII" and "The Tomb Raider Nude Code" back in my day.

Yeah, the Nude Raider code was also one I've heard many times, with friends claiming it was real and they'd done it and all.

Another myth that I recall was the DNMONSTERS or something similar. It involved typing in a code and you would unlock the weapons the monsters used, such as the laser pistol of the Assault Trooper.

Cool myth. The thing about these myths is that they are a product of the times, they just simply could not exist in today's world which is a shame since discovering what was true and what was fake was so fun.

I once read in a swedish gaming mag that the code "DNPAINTBALL" would make all Duke's guns into paintball guns.

Not Duke Nukem related, but I know a lot of internet etc urban legends came from the Johnny Castaway screen saver.
I used to spend hours watching that....

Sounds quite similar but a lot more complex than the myth I heard, to say the least.

Yeah, same here. That was likely one of the best screen savers ever! I've still got it, actually.
