Mark McWane Complete Collection "in progress"
#1 Posted 17 July 2010 - 07:07 PM
Yo.
A friend asked me to mirror all of Mark McWane's stuff, since he took his old website down and his new blog only has limited selections of MP3s.
I have everything of:
Duke Caribbean
Blood
Shadow Warrior
Witchaven
Personal & Misc. Tracks
I am missing:
(durations +/- 5 seconds)
original MP3:
Grabbag (duration 1:03)
original OGG:
Ah, Geez! (duration 2:03)
Whomp (original) (duration 3:37)
Whomp Revisited (duration 3:16)
Subway (with Effects) (duration 6:38)
I have emailed Mark, and he told me to look for torrents. I found one dead torrent. The .torrent file is the old kind that will say you have incomplete files based on anything over round file sizes, even though the files are complete. Based on shit I've gotten from FilePlanet, I am 95.2% complete, but that 4.8% is spread over >50% of the files.
Before you go linking me to places, know this:
I have (from FilePlanet/the torrent) a "complete" set of OGGs, but a number of them (including MISSIMP.OGG off of my head) are corrupted and only contain about 40 seconds of audio. Captain Awesome had the correct complete set of OGGs, but he deleted them because the unknowingly fucked ones were better organized.
Please help me complete this set by sending me anything you have.

I have a .zip containing all of McWane's stuff, including the 2005 versions of Plasma, Baked Goods, and Ah Geez. How do you want me to upload it?

Megaupload, Mediafire, 4shared. Take your pick.

Something you should know, my pack is missing a few things. This pack I have is a(n) HRP that I'm using for my game, so everything's DEFed and stuff. It does not have the original McWane versions of Plasma, Baked Goods, and Ah Geez. It instead it has the 2005 versions of those by him. It also does not have Grabbag by him either, as I was using the Megadeth one for my game.
I'll get to uploading it soon.
Btw, doesn't NightFright still have downloads up for the older versions of the high res music pack that have all the McWane stuff?

As long as these are his original files and not converted in any way.

Thanks!
Did you get the music from Mark's site as the original OGGs? If you converted them from MP3s, we do still have the music, but it does not count towards a collection, since converting from one lossy format to another really screws up the quality of the audio.
However, I wouldn't mind if tags were added or anything superficial was changed, as long as the audio stream is intact.

Yes, because I would arbitrarily use this picture without knowing what it is. Also, use spellcheck sometime. It even comes standard in Firefox now.
