Tell the person who posted the video on YouTube, not X-Vector.

I'm still sticking with "maybe" here.

Somebody who is in love with Japanese culture and Japan and pretends to be Japanese but doesn't really know anything about Japan.

They love Anime and Manga, but don't know real Japanese. they speak broken Japanese phrase or something. They do cosplay or goto convention. >_>

I don't like posting here any more as it's gone from being just amusingly f*cked up to resembling 4chan.

But I just couldn't resist posting what the good people over at UD had to say on wapanese, which is a synonym for weeaboo.

Quote

Due to a chemical imbalance in their heads, the Wapanese will denounce their country, stalk Asian girls, eat nothing but Asian food, grow disgustingly huge and/or pale, live in their parents house until they are 30 or older, and generally be annoyances for the rest of their lives or until they snap out of it, which usually happens around 9th or 10th grade.

I thought those were called Japanophiles.
< That's what I was going to say :P
They seem to be on the increase and they annoy me, I think everyody knows at least one japanophile nowadays. I throw them in the same catagory as furries, they usually are from my experience. What's so great about Japan anyway? The western world is so much better.

I suppose naming them is a bit like Chavs, they have various names depending on where you are from (Chav, Charver, Ned, Pikey).

Oh, and it's Robotnik, that's what it says in the European and American manual for Sonic 1 through to Sonic 3D. And it's his name anyway in all regions, Dr. Ivo Robotnik, I think he has a middle name like Julius or something, only Sonic calls him Eggman.

No true, many of the supporting cast say "Eggman" as well. And also i remember eggman being said in the old games as well.

Don't bring John Lennon's (Eric Burdon's, essentially) good name into this.

Alright, this is how the Eggman/Robotnik thing is.

He was originally meant to be called Eggman, but due to possible copyright issues in the US it was decided to rename him Dr. Ivo Robotnik while in Japan the original name was kept. However, it was released in the US first hence why Robotnik was his first name. In Sonic Adventure they decided to merge these by having Eggman being used as an insult towards Robotnik but keeping Robotnik as his real name. However, in Sonic Adventure 2, he decided to adapt Eggman as his nickname and has been using it since. However, in the same game he refers to his relatives as Gerald Robotnik and Maria Robotnik proving that his real name is actually Robotnik and Eggman is now his preferred nickname.

So both names are PERFECTLY FINE.

Can we perhaps speak about, oh I don't know, Duke Nukem perhaps?

LMAO! What do you think this is? The Duke Nukem forum?

We only talk about Half-Life, Sonic and Japan here.

No, actually I agree, talk about Duke Nukem.

@EmericaSkater - Nice reference, didn't think many people knew about this :P

Apparently that's too much of a touchy subject for some people 'round here.

What's this Duke Nukem thing? I vaguely remember something from my youth, but I'm getting on in years and we old timers tend to forget things often.
