It's a Half Life clone, using mostly ripped stuff from various Duke mods and other sources. Some of it looks good, some does not. The character models (scientists, soldiers, zombies) are all great and I would like to have those myself (and it seems only fair for you to provide them, since you are ripping stuff from my mods). I also liked the weapon models and animations. The maps looked kind of simple by modern Duke standards, but they are pretty good and the level of detail is adequate. Now the bad: The HUD when you have the suit is really ugly. And you don't need to have a huge flashlight battery bar on the HUD all the time (you only need to see it when using the flashlight). It was creative how you used the HRP newbeast model in place of the HL tentacle boss, but it looked kind of silly. The muzzleflashes did not seem to fit the weapons.

This mod looks impressive and surely it has potential to become a great game. But for now some aspects of it look very raw, especially in terms of mapping.

I know I know!! I'm still thinking about the hud and i'm trying to make my own models to the mod, But it's difficult!! Somethings I aready removed from the mod like your WGR2 Portal!!
This mod is will be a new type o half-life but different!!

I'm not so good on mapping but i'm trying to do everything possible to make the maps very impressive!!

I thought it looked awful similar to Half-Life...but then I saw the Black Mesa logo over the world map (from Anomalous Materials) in the last screenshot and knew that it definitely was. Those creatures are cockroaches models ripped straight from the Half-Life resource files!

I loved the setting and atmosphere in the videos, as well as the HUD weapons and reload animations <_<

Does it have a detailed storyline? I'm a huge fan of storylines.

It's as Commander says. I can't think of a TC that doesn't have some ripped art in it (I'm speaking of actual TCs here, not episode packs with some new map art and stuff) It IS illegal but it's one of those things that aren't worth the time or effort to follow up except in certain cases (I do remember Epic did put a stop to conversions of UT2k4 models to HL) Sorta like how lots of Duke mods had Doom art in them, and visa versa.

Also bear in mind that we have probably a handful of modellers in this community, most who have families and stuff so pretty much only have time to contribute to the HRP. Those of us who don't have art skills at all would have to either stick to releasing maps or con stuff, or look elsewhere for content. To be honest ripping stuff in my eyes is only bad if it's done really poorly.

Those screenshots are very older, I have already removed some half-life things!! The story-line is different from half-life!! In half-life the player stays in the black-mesa complex all the game, in my mod 70% of the game will be outside of the Maxer Complex P-46 ( where the accident happened )!! Outside the complex, several things will happened including the total destruction of los-angeles ( which is full of zombies and aliens )

It's very rough, but I like the idea behind it (or, the scale of the concept I should say). Your skill level isn't necessarily the highest, but you seem to have ambition and be trying to execute it as best as you can. I dig it.

Seems to be style over details quite heavily but looks fun nevertheless.

Dynamic lighting would compensate for inadequacies in level design, just too bad Polymer is very slow and would probably render this mod unplayable.

I don't really get why that has to be boring. Half-Life? Great game. Duke3D? Great game. Now putting them together would make for a bad boring thing?

Well obviously you're thinking "if I wanna play Half-Life, I'll play Half-Life", so, then, go play Half-Life..

At least he has tried to make SOME kind of story, even if he *ahem*COUGHRIPPEDOFFCOUGH*ahem* the plot from another game. There are a LOT of mods and levels that comprise entirely of "Blow loads of crap up and then hit the exit button".

I'm playing with r1599 but why are there so many con warnings and duplications? There are a lot of bugs in it in some levels causing the game crash to my desktop or letting me die outside a wall.

I included the HRP now and the game even refuses to load a map. I tried to delete the tex cache file but no succes.

Do not replace the DEF files included in the zip file and don't worry about the warnings and duplicates!!
try to use r1535!! if don't work, try the snapshot_20090131!!
and download these files :

Put the c00p00.map in alpha/maps
Put the game.c in alpha/dlls

Remember, it's a very very very very very very very very very Pre-alpha release!!

Yes, wen I say it looks boring I mean it's nothing new. I'd rather see some innovation rather than something already done (and done well, that doesn't need improvement).

It was nice to play, some nice coding.
But many bugs that crashes to your desktop.
Also c01p00 after the intro screen fades to in-game you are outside the map.
Another weird thing, a detail actually, are the glasses from the professors (Dr. Kleiner from HL?) are brown/yellow colored instead of transparent.

Waiting for some improvement, and to see a next update <_<

Oh!! I forgot!! During the game you can throw grenades pressing "G" or "Aim_Up"!!

Yes i noticed also that slow motion effect and reloading effect <_<
Hmm i dont know what happens to crash, i need to throw the caches away to play it again. it could be that its just me not using the Duke HRP

Could you send to me your eduke32.log when the game crashes?
Press "Del" or "Look_right" to activate the slowmotion effect!!
press "R" or "Look_Left" to reload your weapon!!
