If something like this can be achieved by only two hours of work per participant I really wonder about the small number of maps being released lately. You'd better switch off polymer before starting this one btw.

I liked to play this. The puzzles are not hard, and there are a bunch of enemies (500)

Very, very fun a good-looking map. Loved the alien incubator part. If you play it with Dukeplus and Advanced AI (like me) prepare to some very tough battles.

Then why don't you starting making your own maps?

The gameplay was impleted with the original Duke in mind, I have nothing against trying the map in Dukeplus but to be honest I didn't even think about it when making the monsters and items. It wasn't betatested with it in mind either.

How long does it take to learn mapping in order to put together a map in that amount of time?
Plus, there is that creativity thingy - I'm an engineer, not an artist. ;)
And I have a time-consuming hobby which luckily does not force me use a computer after work.

Well, maybe it would be a good idea to betatest with DukePlus AI even when you don't use any DP efects. It should have quite some fans among the remaining Duke players. I have also played this map using DP and it's pretty hard, especially after getting the first key. In the normal episodes the advanced AI somewhat fits to the enhanced abilities/weapons and adds some more difficulty to experienced players (like all of us). But in some situations like a semi-open area with a bunch of aggressive liztroops it can get really hard to survive, so I recommend to save the game regularly.

Sorry to tell you this, but not all maps are designed to work with DP! or the HRP correctly, this is one of them.

This is a fun map which I commented on at DNR. I did not use Duke Plus to play it. The unfortunate thing about having all of these options in Duke Plus, like "advanced AI", is that people think that everything should be playable that way. I recommend turning off all of the optional gameplay features (advanced AI, mantling, Dukemon, etc) when trying a new map so you get an experience closer to what the level designers intended.

I really don't see any problems about some levels being tough to finish with DP and Advanced AI : for me, it's just more fun.

How often did you die? ;)
I do not really complain, but I will keep trying to propagate DP now and then. :P

Wow this was one of the best maps I played in a while and a CBP. ;) It was rad. hehe. It was all very coherent seeming for being a CBP as well. :P

Well you just answered your own question there, I'm pretty sure that we, mappers, are not machines and that most of us have busy lives too that include a wide range of other 'time-consuming hobbies', as you call them, just as much as you do. You can't really complain about it when other Duke fans who are just that, fans, fail to regularly feed you with fresh levels, when you admit yourself that if you were in their position you would have a hard time putting some of yours into a level of your own.

Being an engineer, making maps should be twice as easy for you. I personally know how to make areas look good and interesting but as far as the main level architecture should go, I'm usually pretty clueless.
