Does anyone here ever go on the IRC (whether thru java or mirc/pirch/etc) for Duke4.net?

I used to moderate it until my last HD died out. I was on IRC all the time, even when I wasn't using it. Lately I've just been too lazy to fire it up. I guess I kind of lost incentive to continue with it when all the channels I went to lost half of the recurring visitors.

I became tired of everyone lurking instead of actually being there, so I don't bother anymore. I'm usually on late, so I don't get many chances to catch anyone.

That was something else. For me it always seemed that everyone was lurking because the people that visited were all in opposite time zones (yeah, there were that few going).
