Every time I try to think of a good idea for you, I want to make it myself
Just throwing it out there though, I think you'd do a good job making a map with custom art. It really opens up the possibilities of what you can do, all you really need is the simplist grasp of the DEF language and a few good textures and you're off! http://wiki.eduke32....ki/DEF_Language just use setuptilerange or dummytilerange then define the location of your images. If you need help, just copy some code from the textures.def or such in the HRP zip.
Oh, and I'll have another go at your tiberius map in the next few days. I'm pretty sure it's not the beta because of the music and the doors were no longer opened by security screen switches.

I have considered custom stuff, but I don't like modifying the game causing users to entirely change their duke folder just to play one map.
Although I would like to rip textures off of Shadow Warrior, Blood, and Redneck and combine them into a map, but unfortunately, I really cannot do much with said textures for Duke.
Unless I can make a Chinese redneck style crypt...
But space stations are getting old, city-based maps get old quick, I got many many incomplete maps that just have no soul or idea into it, except my iceland and hell maps I like played with when I was 14.
But the above maps would have serious texture repetition. Sure that is where the custom art would come into play, but I really don't feel like trying to get my Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 Portable working on Windows 7 just to make 64x64 - 128x128 tiles.
I guess I can toy around with that idea... but I just gotta be sure I can dedicate to something before I do that much work.

How about Springfeld Nuclear Power Plant? A quick Bing image search came up with these for inspiration:

You've got a vent, a fire extinguisher and nuke symbols

A basic layout of the plant.

No one has bothered to find any cartoony images to make one, or no one as felt motivated enough to.

I'd be happy to play a level only loosely based on the powerplant. I can certainly imagine Mr Burn's office looking good in Duke.

Yeah maybe just a map based on a Nuclear Plant, that would sorta fit in wouldn't it?

Well the mentioned Q3A map is full of such textures.

I got a copy of Simpson's Hit and Run floating around somewhere...
I highly doubt that any form of reverse engineering will allow me to extract the textures and/or the maps.
And I don't have a dual monitor setup so comparing areas side by side would be next to impossible.
And Duke's vertex from floor or ceiling and not allowing floating objects without making them sprites would cause a challenge.
If only the Redneck's 3D sector sprite worked...
It would be way too much work for me than what its worth.
